I really appreciate how a single one of your posts showed how Teles don't work for rock.

The Yardbirds never existed, for example.
I don't enjoy engaging trolls, so I ignore most of what you say. But if your ears fail to get all the nuances players get out of other guitars IN ROCK that teles don't match, that's on you. I'm happy knowing which guitars to consider for any given situation.
Right, because the rest of us enjoy engaging pedophile trolls.

Rotfl. Can you show any evidence at all of what you're claiming other people said?

Did anyone in this thread say other guitars DON'T work for rock?

Can you be a decent human being and say you didn't mean to be a pedophile?

I just couldn't watch the entire video you posted because the guy was kinda a blow-hard. But even he said teles are their own thing and don't cover everything.

If you weren't a troll, we would've been able to have a discussion instead of whatever this is. If you keep calling me a pedophile, I might just ask the mods to step in.

Cool man. You talked about my sister's. You wanna talk to them, that's the definition. If I talked about your sisters, I hope the mods ban me, sincerely. Thats just dirty.

The rest of the thread has been talking about Teles and rock, or metal, or whatever nuance you want to run with.

So let's get back to it. You subjectively don't like Telecasters for rock. Despite the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin using them definitely.

Whether or not Teles cover "everything" is subjective, not objective. Neither you nor I can prove it right or wrong on paper.

Can you talk about Telecasters and rock, or only me and my sisters?

I didn't say anything like that. I even said I've used teles plenty in rock. But they're not the only guitar I would reach for in any rock situation, and frankly, I noodle ideas on them more than I use them in recordings because they don't do a lot of things as well as other guitars.

A tele is versatile, but don't exaggerate that to a ridiculous end.

The traditional 7.25" radius tends to choke out too easily on bends. Not true for every one, but it's well known - it's just a factor.

The more effects chain you have, the less you hear of the actual guitar's tone. In that vein, a tele with a ton of effects can sound like anything else with a ton of effects. But clean them up, and you hear many of the differences more readily.

A lot of music uses trems in pretty specific ways, and even if you add a bigsby to a tele, it doesn't do what most of the other trems do.

There are plenty of other differences that make for interesting nuances, and it's really pointless to try to list them all.

No response to the actual tele factors? Ok then. I happen to think discussion forums are better for sharing experiential information between people of like interests than just finding links to prove other people are as misguided as yourself. Don't get insulting, don't try to negate others' perspectives, just discuss. This thread reminds me of a story.

I'd like to give an example of what I barely touched on above. I basically said the more effects you use the less the guitar matters, and I really meant that. I know it, not just from a bunch of guitars, but other gear too. I have a Baldwin harpsichord I bought in the 80's when I lived in Colorado, because, well, there's always been a lot of pot smoking in Colorado. so... Harpsichord, cool. $600? How about $300 bucks? Cool. I drove 60 miles with it sticking most of the way out of my tiny convertible to get it home, and it survived without a scratch. This is way off topic? No it's not, just wait for it.

Back then I played more keyboard than guitar because like I said, 80's. But using both guitars and keyboards, I realized something cool about that harpsichord. It was electric (not electronic), and its simple circuits were more akin to guitar than any of my other keyboards. So I tried that harpsichord with some effects and it turned out to be a natural fit with any guitar effect. Apparently a pair of massive Barcus Berry pickups covering 57 keys is no different (impedence-wise) from a pair of guitar pickups. Flange, chorus, delay, OD, compressor, fuzz, it all worked great. I don't remember any work with that harpsichord that didn't involve a significant effects chain because on its own that keyboard sounded like Elizabethan ass.

At some point I was talking with a guitarist about a recording and he asked me how we got that guitar sound. There was no guitar in that recording and I just started laughing because I knew he thought the harpsichord was a guitar. Fact is, if it had no effects there is no way a guitarist would've thought it was a guitar. But with a wall of effects, it just sounded to him like a guitar with some unknown technique. And listening in that context, I had to agree with him that it sounded like a guitar part. I still have that harpsichord, but it's up against a wall in storage. I can't bring myself to either set it back up or sell it yet. But the point is any nuances between guitars get lost in a heavy signal chain. I'd bet most of us have heard guitar parts from keyboards we thought were real, and vice versa. It's really up to the player how much you hear the instruments vs the chain.
