It makes sense in your case, and it´s actually a good idea to take it out for all the reasons you mentioned.Mossman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 8:16 pm I take the transmitter out of the guitar - or try to remember to, anyway. I'm mostly concerned about it getting damaged when I put the guitar down on a stand or in the rack (if the jack is on the side of the guitar). I only have one guitar that has the jack low enough for that to reasonably happen, but I think it's a good practice just the same. It reduces the risk of forgetting to turn them off when you're done, killing the battery. It also saves me time when I need to use it again. I don't have to check all my guitars to see which one it's sticking out of.
That's provided I was mindful enough of where I put it to remember where it is the next time.
As I don´t have a stand or rack, it means that the guitar is either being played by me or in the wall hanger, very rarely on a chair, precisely to avoid accidents. So there´s a low chance of the transmitter to get damaged,
Now, it helps me to not worry about remembering where I left them! They will be in the only two possible places: the amp and the guitar!
