I take the transmitter out of the guitar - or try to remember to, anyway. I'm mostly concerned about it getting damaged when I put the guitar down on a stand or in the rack (if the jack is on the side of the guitar). I only have one guitar that has the jack low enough for that to reasonably happen, but I think it's a good practice just the same. It reduces the risk of forgetting to turn them off when you're done, killing the battery. It also saves me time when I need to use it again. I don't have to check all my guitars to see which one it's sticking out of.

That's provided I was mindful enough of where I put it to remember where it is the next time.

It makes sense in your case, and it´s actually a good idea to take it out for all the reasons you mentioned.

As I don´t have a stand or rack, it means that the guitar is either being played by me or in the wall hanger, very rarely on a chair, precisely to avoid accidents. So there´s a low chance of the transmitter to get damaged,

Now, it helps me to not worry about remembering where I left them! They will be in the only two possible places: the amp and the guitar!

I think I just discovered a fault with the Lekato transmitter. I used it with my bass amp for the first time this weekend, and there was a weird, buzzy artifact to the sound. It's kind of hard to describe. It wasn't the amp, or the bass, because I plugged in with a cord and it sounded fine. The transmitter also sounds fine in my guitar amp, but every time I plugged it into my bass amp, it didn't sound right. It shouldn't matter if you're transmitting the sound of a guitar, bass, or an electric accordion, so I don't know what's up with that.

For what it's worth, I ALWAYS play wireless since that's how my rig's setup. I don't get noise issues from wireless at home, but certain venues can be a pain when you move a distance (which can be very small) from the receiver. I play right next to a PC and the noise I get from it comes from the pickups/guitar, not the wireless unit. If anything, I could see a cable act as an antennae, even though it should be shielded.

Granted, I have the Line6 wireless system. The G90 rack version I have is 20 times the price of those units you guys are playing with. I also have a couple G50 receivers and have a total of 4 transmitters that work with both systems. It makes guitar changes live quick and easy.
