Is there any reason why the "Remember Me" button doesn't do anything? Anytime I leave and close my browser, I'm logged out.

Same with me. I've tried different browsers and different devices, Mac, PC, and iPad.

My best suggestion is to check whether the bookmark you have saved points to HTTP or HTTPS.
If it points to HTTP I have to log in every time.
But if it points to HTTPS, I do not have to re-log in.

Ahoy, maties. We're all in the same boat. The "Remember Me" button just sort of mocks us.

Go in your browser and find your saved passwords. Delete the password for here. Delete cookies, bookmarks or whatever references here. Start again log in, it should ask if you want to save.

That worked for me. Thanks.

The official explanation is that it is not a bug, it is a feature. It's an intentional security thing.

It is in direct conflict with my laziness gene. But I think I'll survive it somehow!

Jeff, if you will do what I suggested earlier followed by what mozz suggested, your laziness gene should be pleased. :)
