Funny shape for a head but I guess if it works.

Yeah, P90 heads are the best IMHO.

LOL

This one might not be a Tube Amp model Agile, , just a humble "2 Tone", but has a pair of SD on it, for $450, AL3200... Not bad.

IIRC, when SD pickups have the logo on them like that, aren't they likely "Duncan Designed" models that are more often found in lower end guitars? Still a great looking guitar but maybe not a "screaming" deal?

The one I keep coming back to on GC Is this one...original headstock, original pointy horn...this is a very early model. Looks like the pickups have been upgraded too but not sure what they might be. But in either case this one is a pretty rare bird as far as Agile's go. This one is at the Monroeville PA store - anyone live nearby?

Honestly, Agile amps aren't gonna blow your mind, but they’re a decent option if you want something that works without breaking the bank. As for the SD pickups, yeah, the "Duncan Designed" ones aren’t the top-tier, but they still get the job done, especially if you’re not looking for that super high-end sound.

I'm not an expert on Duncan pickups, but Duncan Designed PUs say so on the plastic, the ones in this Agile say Seymour Duncan. Again, not a SD expert, I don't know if originals have a different look.

In any case, we agree, not a "screaming deal", but not that bad. :)

And yes, that other Agile is one of the earlier models, it has its charm.

My GC experience today. I have been wanting a Gibson J45 Standard for quite awhile. They had one up in Ocala so I rode up there this morning with my lovely bride to check it out. As luck would have it, it turned out to be a good one. I played it and then we left and went to lunch next door to discuss. Really I had just gone to make sure that is what I wanted from a "feel" standpoint. I was not expecting to find one with the tone that tickled my ear. It is nice and warm. After lunch we wondered back in and I played it again. I was hemming and hawing trying to make up my mind and the sales associate said, "would it help to sweeten the pot if I offered 10% off". That was the magical words. I said deal and we fist bumped. He retrieved the case and then he started checking me out using a cell phone. I was a little perplexed but he said they have been doing that for about a year. So I handed him my card and he tapped. Moments later he said that it did not go through. I did not get a message from the bank that there was a decline. He then said well we can just run it on the register. That is when I called bullshit. I logged in to my account and it did go through and was "processing the same as my last few purchases including the lunch we just had. The transaction said Guitar Center and the correct amount. All purchases do that pending or processing thing. I told him if he run it again I would be paying twice. These asshats have a dysfunctional app and as a result I paid for a guitar but could not take it home. I have to drive all the way back up there to pick it up once it is no longer "processing". They did give me a receipt, labeled the guitar sold and put it in the back. I was pissed.

That is a weird experience! You DID have a conversation with the manager, I hope?

It was the manager that made the decision to hold the guitar and put it in the back. I certainly thought he would have looked at my account on my phone, realized the problem was on them, the payment had been made and released the guitar but he did not. I will make sure I deliver another piece of my mind when I pick up the guitar.
