Gearlist: 28 Guitars: (2) basses, (2) acoustics, (3) hollow bodies, (3) Semi hollow, (1) Double-neck, (17) Solid-bodies

FYI:

Harley Benton finally got back to me regarding their return policy. 30 day-money back, no reasons required but the guitar has to be in pristine 'unplayed' condition, and the buyer pays for return shipping.

I'm surprised they don't have a return policy posted on the site. I almost exclusively buy b-stocks, so the only thing I'm concerned with is shipping damage and that would be taken up with UPS.

In your case though, I wouldn't be too comfortable

I'm going to assume though if there is actually something wrong with it, they wouldn't insist the customer pay return shipping

You're kinda right. If there is something wrong with it, they drag the customer through months of ridiculous exercises to tire out their will, and failing that, they finally do pay for return shipping.

Correct. They consider that warranty, which requires calling them and their determination "could include return shipping." I suppose some of their warranty solutions are to ship a new guitar and tell you to verify you trashed the first one.

per their store, seems like there should be wiggle room in the policy if "not as described" if purchased through the Reverb store.

Thomann I don't believe is so kind through their regular site on orders sent to the States. I've not had issues particularly on my B-stock purchased that I favor, but I have read stories.
