So this has an 80's Yamaha neck, customized and partially scalloped, with stainless medium jumbo frets, and a Tusq nut, Schaller roller bridge, Gibson 498t and 490r (parallel wired) pickups. The body is reshaped and customized to take a 24-fret neck, that's from some cheap V copy. I made the plastics and the neck plate DIY.

Finally am happy with it - the only thing that bugs me a bit there's really no room to adjust intonation any further, should it be needed. It's JUST enough, but no more room bugs me.

So maybe some day when I'll give it a good clean and new strings etc. I'll detach the neck, plug the holes and drill new ones like 3mm closer to the butt end, so that there will be a few mm more for bridge adjustment.

Very nice. Is that an RGX neck? If it is, I'm guessing you trimmed off the right side of the headstock to give it that classic Charvel/Jackson pointy look.

The offset arrangement of the neck bolts also appear to be from the RGX Super Playability Joint System. Did you cut the body of the V to match that angle?

I have so much respect for the many skills you share with us on this forum. It's very much in the spirit of old school AGF.

Thank you...I'm really not that skilled, more like persistent - just work on it till I succeed :-) but over the years it gets easier!

Am not totally sure which Yamaha exactly, but yep, some RGX. And I did trim that odd side extension off, yep. I have another neck just like this one, except mahogany, not maple, and it's painted. So I'm keeping it painted....actually just painted it camo green today, and gonna put in new frets next week. don't know what body I'll marry it with yet, though...

This is the mahogany version of the neck...just the same except for material.
I'll possibly put it in a 3D printed body, if my friend can make me one...
