I tried to check for burrs as you suggested and cannot see or feel anything that is obvious but will definitely check further the next time that I change strings in case there is something buried there. I was on vacation the last time that I broke a string and had played the guitar outside everyday for 1-2 hours on the deck so the salty air and humidity could have had something to do with the string break. Will see how it goes with the last string change and go from there. Probably not the best environment for guitar strings. I was getting into the Whiskey In the Jar song when I broke it. I had another set but was leaving the next day so I just left it alone until I got back home.
Gergo did a major mod on his SX Tele (see his thread) and it looks really cool. These ash SX guitars are the stuff for wood grain if you like that sort of thing and the manufactured relief on the front and back makes them very comfortable to play.
