Trying to get closer to a modern album tone.
Hopefully this doesn't sound like crap. My ears are pretty much done after futsing with this for so long.

Mix sounds good on my setup, and seems like there's a bit more depth to it than usual? Song kicks ass too :-)

If I get a chance, I'll try playing it on the system in my truck. Not exactly sure why, but the custom system I installed can really point out production issues, especially in the lower register...

Sounded thin to me. Hmmm.

Interesting. The main difference was I brought the mids down on the guitars and notched some of the bass in certain muddy areas. I do think SoundCloud is doing something when “processing” that muddies things up a bit.

That wouldn't surprise me. Its one of the main reasons I only use FLAC format for ripping music, as I can hear the difference, even between the higher bitrate MP3's on my equipment. I'd guess they're doing something similar to the compression that moving into an MP3 format does, as I'm sure they have plenty of disk space issues to deal with on the server side...

Yep, this was something new that they introduced. I started noticing it a few weeks back when A/Bing my tracks.
