@Flatline I´m not the indicated person to give advice on this one, but I think it has good sounds and modulations, IR capabilities are a plus. What I don´t like is that it seems you can´t assign presets to the switches, as you can on a Digitech RP360, for example, that only has three switches too. Ths unit seems more advanced than the rp360, though; a nice unit indeed. You expect to gig with it, or just playing at home?

I believe it´s hard to find a "bad" modeler these days.

NMD coming soon? :)

I came across these while browsing other stuff. I'm considering this or something like it as a means to consolidate and slow the buying of individual pedals. I've had a couple smaller lower end modelers (Vox Stomplab IIG and Zoom G1Xon) and I didn't like the sounds of either of them and found them clunky and cumbersome to use.

What isn't clear is that it does come with an external 2-button foot switch, but I'm not 100% clear on what you can do with it.

Might be worth comparing to the new Zoom modeler when it comes out. It looks strong.

I'll have to check that out too. I wonder how they compare. The zoom seems to be able to do more of what I'm looking for based on a cursory glance of features. The $399 price tag isn't as appealing.

How does YouTube not block that video? If I play a D,C,G chord progression I get threatened with a strike (kidding, kind of).

I've got one on pre-order... I'm hoping to have it by early to mid August. I did a lot of research, and this looks to be about the best thing out there in its price range.

If this thing is as good as everyone says it is, I'll be selling my Zoom G5n, if anyone's interested. :D

I'm waiting for that review and some recorded comparison tracks of the NUX and the Zoom G5N. It does a lot for it's price range. How does it really sound compared to modelers 3-5x the cost?

Looks like they're selling it for $300. Looks really solid for that price. Could be a great portable rig for those on a budget or someone that wants a simple light rig for practice or jam sessions. I look forward to firsthand experience from AGF members when they get it!
If I had something witty to say, I'd put it here.

I picked up the Boss GT-1 and have have been pretty happy with it. The GT-1 along with the FS-7 adding additional switches let me do everything I need to do. I mainly use 3-4 different patches and then use the switches to turn on/off OD and modulation. Once I figured out how it all works, its a pretty simple setup and I haven't felt the need to constantly buy new individual pedals to try out.

Aw, man... Bad news from the Pedal Guy. The shipment of NuX MG-30s has been delayed. :(

I just got this email:

Hi There,

I hope you’re having a great summer. I wanted to take a moment to update you on the pending arrival of the NuX MG-30’s. I have been informed that the ship is currently en route and it will arrive a little later than anticipated, probably mid-late August.

I’m truly sorry for the delay however, please rest assured that ThePedalGuy will be the first dealer in the US to have this incredibly popular pedal as I will be driving out to the NuX offices the day the inventory arrives.

Based on the latest firmware update, you’re going to really like what you see and hear and I will update you should I receive any further updates.

All the Best

Here in Thailand, while new guitars usually take an extra 6 months to a year to arrive here (if at all), NUX products seems to be instantly available. Available today @ $ 272 US. If I did not already have my Valeton Unit I would definitely jump at it.

Got an update from the Pedal Guy about the NuX MG-30. Apparently the ship is stuck at LA harbor waiting for a berth...

So close, yet so far away.... :|

Good Afternoon!

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to keep you updated on the MG-30 ship status. The ship is set to arrive shortly in the Port of LA. I'm sure you've heard about some of the shipping bottlenecks they have been experiencing there. Tons of boats, not enough docks.

In any case, the cargo will need to process through customs and should be delivered to NuX in the coming days. I'm hoping for next Tuesday/Wed, but it's a day by day development.

In the meantime, I have your box already built and ready to populate with your order as soon as NuX gets the inventory. I will drive out and pick them up the second they have it and should be able to turn it right around that day.

Thank you again for your continued patience. Have a great rest of your week and please let me know if you have any questions. Be on the lookout for more MG-30 videos on the horizon on my YouTube Channel.

Well, I found out that NuX's US headquarters is in Arcadia, CA, which is about a two hour round-trip for the Pedal Guy, so he's pretty committed to his customers if he's willing to make the drive up there to fetch these pedals, rather than waiting the extra few days it'll probably take for them to ship to him.

Well, the Pedal Guy's last ETA of 9/1 has come and gone, and I just got an update from him saying that they still haven't moved.

He also said that this will probably be the last shipment for the rest of the year.

Hi There,
I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend and are enjoying the last days of summer. Wanted to quickly update you on our status for the MG-30 preorders. As you know, NuX and many many other manufacturers are all awaiting the arrival of their shipments from China. The ships are here, but there is a bottleneck in receiving them at the Port of Long Beach (I saw it myself from the coast). It’s been covered extensively throughout the media and is greatly affecting several manufacturers across a wide range of industries. The same is also happening on the East Coast as well. Needless to say, it’s an incredibly annoying situation for both you and for us the dealer, so believe me when I tell you that I completely understand any frustration or annoyance this must be causing you.

That being said, I am in constant communication with NuX regarding this and they believe it will be any day now. Additionally, I have a feeling that this might be the only shipment we will see of the MG-30 for the rest of 2021, but that’s just a feeling as the holiday months and escalated holiday shipping traffic are approaching rapidly. So, you’re in line to get one of the most sought after guitar processors on the market.

I really want to thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this matter. Just know that this matter is beyond NuX’s direct control and all NuX US Dealers are in the same position. I promise you that we will ship out all preorders just as soon as they arrive.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

All the Best

For what it's worth, AMS and zZounds show 9/21 and 10/5 respectively as the dates they expect to have this unit in stock. Though they may be playing it safe with their estimates.

Finally some good news from the Pedal Guy... If anyone's still interested. :)

Hi There,

Well, I have some great news. I have received confirmation that the MG-30 shipment will arrive late Monday Sept 20, so we will ship your order out on Tuesday.
I’d like to personally thank you for your patience throughout this delay and I will post your tracking info as soon as your order ships!

All the Best

He's in Redondo Beach, which is about 30 miles away from me, so I should have it by Friday, I would think.
