I bought some of this stuff a few years ago based on reviews on the internet, and wow, does it ever work.
They've changed the formulation slightly, but I've had great luck with it to clean fretboards. A 2"x2" square is all you need to clean a guitar.

i have used it, but I lost it during my move... expensive so I hope I find it again one day!
It looks like Gorgomyte is either kaput, or has been sold--I have heard that Jim Dunlap bought it, but not certain. Can't find it anymore.
At any rate, if you are having trouble finding Gorgomyte, this stuff is essentially identical, and works just as well, IMO:
