Bank card meant for a stanger in my mailbox?

We get our real mail at our P O box.

A week ago, a piece of mail apparently containing a bank card came to our street address, addressee unknown to us.

Likely googled name lives near Tampa, FL, bank is near Daytona (I skip city names here).

Should I worry?
Simply return to P O as wrong address?

Only thing I can think of is weird neighbours who have ties to FL - as a matter of fact, they should move there...

Call the number on the back of the card and discuss it with those folks, that is their job.
They will kill the card & contact the person it should have gone to.

That happened to my sister once, she lives in Jawja but the card was sent to an address in Pennsylvania.

I did not open the mail, but could feel the card through the paper.

Spouse just took it back to PO as unknown.

Returning it to the PO was the right choice. Whether misdelivered or not, it is illegal to open someone else's mail without their permission.

i took a picture of the (outside of) the envelope, just in case something weird comes up.

Note that I also have been pestering spouse to get a credit report for a while now - she did last year, and request bounced on account of an old address, and gave up. I think having an unknown bank card come in may have her rethink.
