Who else is a fan of LTD guitars? One of my favorite guitars that I own is an LTD Xtone PS-1000. It’s really a great sound (IMO) and very well designed guitar.

Oh buddy, I wish I had more than the two I do have, but I'll be back with pics when I can get some good light later today.
I'm sure I have some pics posted around here, but any excuse to take new ones lol.

I just took a few minutes off from cleaning this dump to snap a quick pic of the EC-256 and EC-1000, both unmodified. The EC-1000 came stock with Dimarzio 36th Anniversary pickups which are some of the best name brand ones I've heard (bought a used set after I first got it and put them in an Agile AL).

Judging by the amount of dust in the horns and on the neck heels, I'd say it's been at least two years since I last played either of them (it's like counting the number of rings in a crosscut section of a tree to determine its age).

I still need an EC-401 someday to complete the single cut hat trick.

LTD MH-100QM. The quality of this guitar is pretty astonishing considering it is a lower end LTD superstrat. Some of the best fretwork I've seen on a stock guitar.

Well, until i get another wall hanger ordered the only one out is the LTD DV8-R, but my V401DX with the trans-black flame maple top and Floyd Rose is also one of the best guitars I've ever held, my only complaint is that I'm just not a big fan of EMGs.

I don´t know if this counts, but if I had a LTD guitar, it would be this one. EC256FM

This is an EC-256 I bought a few years ago. The stock pickups were so-so, but I changed them out for some Giovanni '59 pickups and for a total price of $300, it's a pretty damn good guitar.

The honey/amber finished one. It's thinner (probably about 1 5/8") than the EC-1000 which has the full 2" body thickness (I believe the EC-401s are also 2")...

Had this one, came with Slash S-D pickups and some nice Hipshot tuners.

Nice guitar, but I have a Heritage LP and a couple AL3200s that I liked better, so I took off the upgrades, sold it for what I paid and then sold the pickups. The Hipshots are now living on my Harley Benton PRS style doublecut.

I would buy another if it wasn't a style guitar I already own. Image

I plugged mine in last night and it sounded pretty good, actually better to my ear using the same Atomic Amplifire settings as i had been using with the AD-3200MCC with stock Giovani GVH-1s. I did a little online snooping and found a couple people who had swapped out the ceramic magnets fin the stock G&Bs for A2s or A4s and were really happy with the results.

OTOH, I think there might be something wrong with my Atomic A3, depending on which amp and/or boost RFs, if those settings aren't dialed back dramatically or disabled entirely, I get crackling and hiss even with the guitar volume at 3-4. Most of the high gain amps are unusable at any setting (Rectifier, 5150, etc) . I've tried upgrading to the latest firmware and a factory reset but the same problem. I'm going to post to the Atomic forum but if i don't get a solution, will probably go with Amplitude...

I've got 2 EC-1000s and an H-351FR super strat. Great guitars.

- LTD EC-1000QM Piezo (Made in 2019)
  • Currently Stock, will upgrade pots
  • Bridge: Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB
  • Neck: Seymour Duncan '59
  • OTHER: Piezo Bridge

- LTD EC-1000 (Made in 2006)
  • Pickup Swap (x2): EMGs > SD JB + Jazz > Fishman Fluence Modern
  • Bridge: Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic
  • Neck: Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico
  • NOTE: This guitar really rocked with the JB & Jazz pups, but once I got the other guy with the piezo bridge and similar SD pickups, I figured it would be more fun having the SD in one of my Schecter Super Strats with a 5-way super strat and move the Fishman Fluence Moderns to this EC-1000. Overall, I'm happy because I have a handful of great Schecters and LTDs each with a different voice and feel. Hard to pick between them while recording, actually.
- LTD H-351FR (Made in 2011)
  • Pickup Swap: EMG > Buddha
  • Replaced Floyd Rose Special with Floyd Rose Official (may have upgraded sustain block, too)
  • Bridge: Buddha Narshbucker Custom (RYW edition)
  • Neck: Buddha Narshbucker Custom (RYW edition)
