Well, here's one you don't see every day! I knew Agile made banjos but didn't ever see a 6 string one. Probably not a killer "deal" as I think these were about this price new but I bet it punches several times above it's price tag and I'm guessing finding another would be nearly impossible.

It's at the Hollywood store... I could go down there tomorrow and buy it, but I don't know if I want a 6-string banjo bad enough to pay $209 for one. If I develop a burning desire for one later on, though, Dean has made a 6-string banjo for years... Price on their site sez three fiddy:

But somehow I doubt I'm gonna want one of those, either.

That's exactly where I'm at with it, it's cool and it's certainly going to be a better quality banjo than you can get from pretty much anyone else at that price but I have a feeling it'll be the kinda thing where I pluck it a couple times and then it just collects dust in the corner. I've learned not to buy things that I can guess with reasonable certainty will be a short-lived engagement :).

Still really cool though, never seen one of these and certainly never seen one at GC. I found a Rondo listing for a 5 string Agile banjo but can't seem to find one for this exact one.

Thomann has a Harley Benton six-string banjo for $139... That's more like it, but then it'll cost $50 to ship:

I still have an urge to get a sitar guitar sometimes. It's a good thing all the ones I come across are kind of expensive.
