Curious how the buyers who received one already recommend it? Is it worth the wait? How many other are still waiting?

Speaking as an old amp guy who was building tube amps in the 1950's........
It sounds like bullshit to me.

It might very well be. I have bought a couple small practice amp’s all solid state, and have been disappointed. I need something small for travel in a hotel room. My tube amps will not work in that situation. Still have your Fender Deluxe Reverb for sale. Think that would piss off the neighbors?

Check out Slowhands mv50 clean review. I'm considering one or a microblock 45. Both are pedal sized and do headphone and speaker out.

There was a whole thread on this on the old forum and tons of reviews. It seems to get high marks as practice amp, it is not amp you gig with

Bugera T5 Infinium,.....5/1/.1 watt switchable, 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x EL84 . Can sound very good, shapeable with tube swaps. It is small, has a gain knob, not bad w/ light gain, IMO. Has a reverb knob, just fine. Has a phone jack.

I saw the old thread, but it was slim on reviews. Going to look into the Bugera and Cox mentioned.

The reviews were on YouTube. A few of the folks who seem to be good players and know what they are talking about is where I looked. I guess it depends on what you are looking for but it can learn a song you stream and show you the chords as well construct backing tracks like a DIgitech trio.

I have had one for about 6 weeks now, currently the only amp I am using since everything else is packed up for our move this summer. It is a great practice amp that does everything I would want for just fucking around when I have a couple of minutes. The stock sound tweaking on the cab itself is good, but you can get great stuff using the app. I have 4 presets that I have made that I alternate through, haven't really needed much else. Sounds great through headphones, which is what I am using it for most of the time. It's basically a Line 6 Amplifi, Blackstar ID Core, Digitech Trio and Yamaha THR all rolled into one.

I've been playing more and more using Bias Amp through headphones on Garageband. Is the Spark basically a powered speaker for the Bias Amp software? I think the software sounds great. Especially once you start playing around with the app. The only other modeler I have any real experience with is the Fender Mustang and the Bias tones are vastly better and more tweakable.

I remember the thread. The Sparks were all ready to go I thought, then COVID f-d all the shippers. I thought we had a bunch of folks still waiting for theirs. Anyone else get theirs in?

Thanks for that perspective! I've had one on order for a few weeks and am looking forward to using it as a grab-n-go travel/practice amp. I agree it's not to replace any traditional (especially tube based) gear, and I wouldn't think of trying to use it in a gig environment, but it seems to fit that niche portable aspect I have been trying to fit.

I ordered one too. It was my birthday gift to myself, but I don't expect it until maybe july? I got it because I am tired of shitty little bluetooth speakers with no balls, for the deck, and also probably some headphone play.

Gearlist: Guitars and Amps, lots of 'em

Dammit man, I'm on the net forum the first hour and I'm $224 poorer. I ordered a Spark early today.

I also bought and downloaded the Bias FX and Bias Amp Standard Combo ($109) VST software, and loaded them into my DAW. So far, MEH...I wish I'd demo'd them first, I don't think I would have bought them. Why? Because I have free VST's that I can stack that sound better than any of this stuff. Maybe the next level up is where I should have bought in. l'll mess with these some more, I may grow to like them, but right now I wish I'd saved my money on those VSTs. But hey, I'm bored as hell, and can't hardly do shit. I killed a few hours already at my DAW fooling with the software, so who cares?

We'll see about the amp when it comes. I really liked the Trio/drummer type feature, maybe I can figure it out. I needed a bluetooth speaker for the house, my Cambridge Audio Oontz Angle stays strapped to my bike. I whip down the West Nashville backstreets and greenways with that thing blasting Sonny Boy Williamson and Muddy Waters and all sorts of stuff. I'm getting to be quite the urban legend around here. People hear me coming, know its me, move over, and laugh and holler and wave as I go by. I'm not sure what they're laughing about, and I can only hope it's not the crotch of my somewhat embarrassing bike pants. Hey, I'm 64, and I really don't, er..., care.
I'm bitter about the unnecessary loss of the original AGF. I appreciate the man or men that are making this site work. The warm vibe and high level of discourse is what make this community different from those other dog-butt sites out there.

Ok, I just went to the product page....and holy isht! That thing looks amazing. The sound samples alone were enough to sell me on it. And sound is just a fraction of the things it offers.

I won't be buying one, as my money is tight, but damn....I can sure see why people are buying them.

I've tried Positive Grid plugins and apps and thought it always sounded pretty decent but nothing ever blew me away. I'd be interested in trying one of these out though. Seems like the price might make it a worthwhile purchase for some.

I just got hip this amp today, and I was going to post a thread here about it. This could retire my THR10, and I was pretty much on board and ready to order one, but I read a lot comments from people who were told that their unit would ship to them in January and they're still waiting for it! I emailed Positive Grid and asked for an estimate on delivery time, and they said I'd get it in mid August. I can deal with that if it's true, but I tend to doubt they've got their supply chain all sorted out if people ordered one in November and they're still waiting. I'll be kicking myself if I order one and I'm still waiting for it in January.

I'd feel better if they charged my card when it ships, instead of when I order it, and had the option to cancel if something better comes along while I'm waiting... If it's going to take six months, that may very well happen.
