I decided to wait and review both of my recent Rondo purchases at one time. It may be crazy to order two AL-3200's two weeks apart, but oh well. Seemed like the thing to do since I am not really going anywhere to see shows or socialize these days.

The build quality on both of these is the best I have seen from Rondo in quite a while. The both are flawless, and the fretwork on both is not perfect, but pretty good. The weight on each one is about 9.5 LBS. I did warm up to the Giovanni GVH-1 PAF-style humbuckers. For some reason, they sounded way better in the Silverburst than the blue guitar. But, I decided to pull them simply because I have tons of guitars with PAF humbuckers already, I wanted to do something different.

I changed to pots to Bournes low friction pots, and redid the witring to 50's style wiring with orange drop caps on both. The Silverburst has a Giovanni GCH-2 high output pickup in the bridge, and a GFS Mean 90 in the neck, for a variety of tones. They both work pretty well together actually. Most of us already know that the Mean 90 is an excellent value P-90 in a humbucker shell, but I have to add that the Giovanni GCH-2 at 15k resistance is an excellent high gain pickup that has plenty of brightness and clarity. I am very pleased with this pickup. In the blue guitar I installed Giovanni GVH-Rock hot humbuckers. These pickups are at about 11.5k, and I an not so sure I am sold on these. I need to give them a chance, but I am already thinking of other alternatives.

Both nice guitars! I'd like to hear a side by side comparison!

I generally prefer warmer colors on guitars, but these look great, and being 3200´s, well, there´s nothing wrong with any of them.

HNGD! Hope you enjoy playing both every time.

NIce!!
Hope they Grail for you!

I keep going there or Reverb looking at the Lemonburst.
Probably could do the $$ if I sell, or promise the wife I will sell a few I am ready to list.

The 10lbs really is what keeps me out; the Liquid feels about as heavy as I want to go.
I should weigh mine; listed as 8.5lb.

I play standing almost all the time but am sloooowly learning to sit in the classical style with LP types.
If I stumbled across a used one at the right price I might go for it.

So that's the light blue quilt? That's a gorgeous color, better than the oceanbursts.

Would love to hear that Giovanni GCH-2 pickup!

I love that blue.

I will try to get a sample recorded in the coming couple of days. It is very aggressive but very clear. It has an alnico V magnet, but sounds like a cross between a Duncan JB and a Gibson 500T

And yes, that is the light blue quilt

That blue one is damn pretty! I wish you'd posted a demo of the stock pickups before you changed them for a comparison.

I think that color will go down as one of Rondo’ best!

I dig them both but the silver burst in particular gets me salivating.

Congrats @Gergo those are both great looking guitars. I bought one of the last batch as well and the one I received was for practical purposes "flawless" out of the box. Amazing that you can get 2 AL-3200's for less than the price of one Gibson Les Paul Studio and IMO the Agiles are better a built with neck thru construction.
This is mine
