I haven’t purchased much gear of late. I missed out on 3 good guitar deals last week, so I wonder if I was just itchy. This came up on CL yesterday a little farther than I now normally drive for gear. It was a good deal, so I decided to jump on it. If it is what everyone says it is, I will be selling my. Tube amp that just hasn’t been getting used much. This is the newest piece of equipment I have bought in a while, I haven’t had a chance to play it much yet, but my first impression was it has nice low end on it, as do most of the Cube type Boss amps. I tried to do a bit of research yesterday....oh how I miss the old forum as just dont have the history here yet....I would love to hear from those of you who have this.....anyway, here’s the pic

Looks nice. My buddy who bought one likes it better now that he connected to his computer and updated it, but still finds getting to and saving sounds/settings where he can easily get back to them a challenge.

Congrats on the new Katana, and play it in great health!

What does the artist version get you that the standard version does not?

My question too.

Near as I can tell, you get a bigger cabinet made of more durable stuff, and a Waza speaker. Is it worth the xtra $$$... I don’t have a clue.

I have played a bit more now and discovered additional effects by just punching the buttons. I have only scratched the surface...havent felt compelled to go to the computer fir additional tones and pre sets yet, but this thing has a tone of possibilities. ANd it really sounds good. The Waza craft speaker really is a good speaker. The test is always the band setting and how it sounds there, punches through etc.....loving the low end so far.

A wider cabinet, better speaker (WazaCraft). I know there are a few other things but am not entirely sure. I think it is 5 channels (amp type sounds...ie Brown, crunch, clean) vs 4 on the Katana. That is from memory only so that may be inaccurate
