FedEx on Tuesday: "We'll deliver your guitar on Sunday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
FedEx late Thursday night: "Good news, we'll deliver your guitar early on Friday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
FedEx on Friday: "Bad news, we won't deliver your guitar until Monday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
Edit: FedEx late Friday night: "Not Monday afterall, we'll deliver your guitar Sunday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
Edit: FedEx Sunday morning: "Bad news, we won't deliver your guitar until Monday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
Edit: FedEx Sunday evening: "More bad news, we won't deliver your guitar until Tuesday. Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
Edit: FedEx Monday morning: "Good news, we'll deliver your guitar today. Do you believe us? Be sure to adjust your schedule because you'll have to be home to sign for it."
Bottom line: People I work with think I get a guitar delivered every goddamned day and I just can't trust a word FedEx tells me, ever, not one, never.

Yay, another FedEx
Don't feel too bad, it isn't just FedEx.
When we lived in Nashville, my wife worked in the main AT&T building downtown.
She had a package coming (shipped via UPS) so she had it sent to her office.
After all, FedEx & UPS delivered to the the building's loading dock at least half dozen times per day.
She got a phone call on a Monday that UPS was unable to find the address.
To make a long story short, on Friday I finally drove out to the UPS hub and picked up the package.
Here is a picture of Nashville, lower Broad with the Ryman Auditorium just out of sight to the left.
See if you can find the main AT&T building.
When I picked up the box, it was addressed correctly.
Go figure.

This time of year I give them a little leeway...add COVID and the crazy spiking literally everywhere, it is a little harder than normal to get a package point a to b than any time in the past quarter century methinks...

Sweetwater has a special note in my customer file reminding the salesperson to never use FedEx to deliver my purchases. FedEx is completely worthless to me.

Turns out FedEx actually did deliver it when they said they would (the 7th time). All I had to do was pretend the guitar wasn't actually coming. This one will take some getting used to.
