Together, the price was pretty killer. @andrewsrea knows I was very seriously thinking of picking up a Mesa 4X10 that a local store has. If the 1X12 I just listed sells quickly, I may still do so.
I really have no need for a 4X12 but I can argue that the ones I have don't sound glorious with a Friedman Jake E Lee 50.
Picked upt two 4X12s. A Friedman JEL and a Marshall 1960AV.

Friedman has an impossible-to-find 4X12 for this model. I literally can't find a reference to it anywhere on any site. I think it was only sold with the JEL-100 which was a limited edition. But I promise you there are pics of them so they exist. They always have greenbacks.
The AV is pretty common and something you can find used for about $600 or so online. They're actually out of stock new right now but I've heard there's something going on with the old distribution deal ending and the company having been acquired by private equity. So my guess as amps and cabs only represent a single digit percentage of the brand (but it's their heritage and part of their branding for sure) that it may take a while to sort that out. I really can't complain as the amp sounds killer and basically gives you a modded Super Lead 50 and JCM800 tone.
Thorn's demos of the amp makes it sound almost spot on, but having tried both I think the controls give you more tonal flexibility than either of those amps typically would in stock form.
