Just passing this along in case it helps someone on a project.

The First Act Volkswagen Garage Master guitar has some some serious neck dive. I really think this guitar would have benefited from a shorter scale (Gibson) neck length than the 25.5" scale (Fender) that is has. Fortunately this guitar has a huge cavity route for all the electronics gadgetry this model comes with. I picked up some adhesive wheel balancing weights and stuck a bunch in the cavity. This helped quite a bit, but the biggest benefit came from removing the existing tuner buttons and replacing them with plastic. The weight difference between the existing metal buttons and the new plastic ones was quite noticeable. Neck dive gone.

Always a good feeling when a mod works as planned (or guesstimated!).

At my age I am trying to shave off weight. What does the overall guitar weigh now?
