That almost looks like a fake Agile to me. The horn seems weird, the headstock seems off...I'm just starting my coffee so maybe thats it.
Maybe its the camera?

Yeah, the body contours are like a "Norlin Agile," just wrong and off-putting.Partscaster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 6:28 am That almost looks like a fake Agile to me. The horn seems weird, the headstock seems off...I'm just starting my coffee so maybe thats it.

Do people actually fake Agiles?
Assuming they do, can't they get the shape correct?
What are they afraid of . . . getting sued by Tuckel?

There really isn't such a thing as a fake Agile, no one bothers to fake these. This is a totally normal legit AL-3100,it's just that GC's photos kinda always leave a lot to be desiredtoomanycats wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 7:37 amYeah, the body contours are like a "Norlin Agile," just wrong and off-putting.Partscaster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 6:28 am That almost looks like a fake Agile to me. As I have read thru this thread, I keep wondering WHY anyone would produce fake Agiles???slowhand84 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 9:42 am

I will go out on a limb and say no one in the history of the world has faked an Agile. That is a good thing.

I think it's just the camera angle of that one photo TBH - I had a 3100 like that and it's actually slightly tempting at that price.
As to "WHY", the answer to that question is the same as why anyone would fake something - to make money. Used 3xxx AL's are selling in the 300 plus range, some quite a bit more than that and new ones are in the $500-600 range. You could likely commission a run of "fake" ones for $150 or so per unit if you bought enough. Bottom line, there are a lot of stupid/uninformed people with disposable income that will buy just about anything if it is presented in the proper way, so the market responds accordingly.

They wouldn't and they don't. GC however would ABSOLUTELY post photos so bad that you'd think the guitar is counterfeit, so that part tracksmickey wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:05 amAs I have read thru this thread, I keep wondering WHY anyone would produce fake Agiles???slowhand84 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 9:42 am

Oh, I agree with you guys, it would seem to be impractical to fake an Agile. Perhaps, unless your a Chinese chinsey guitar maker.
The shape of it just seems remarkably off.
I like the camera angle idea.
