Yeah. With about $24 tax and even if they went down to $65 shipping, it's more than I'd be willing to pay for the gold top considering it's MGR....
Speaking of tax and FWIW, I just noticed that that they didn't charge me any....
To quote "Buckwheat" of "The Little Rascals": Me too neither. :D
(No tax charged on mine.)

Looks like I wasn't too far off since they quoted @mickey and @tobijohn $65 for their orders.
Yeah. With about $24 tax and even if they went down to $65 shipping, it's more than I'd be willing to pay for the gold top considering it's MGR. You get what you get there. If you return gear for good reason, you still eat the shipping and they may hit you for a restocking fee. Compared to GC Used, it's a lot more risk with no upside. So while I have bought gear from them, it was better priced to handle the risks. That's why I shot them the $22 shipping option, to make it more worth the risk.
Yeah undoubtedly MGR is always a riskier option than GC Used. I've purchased from MGR a handful of times (in fact I got one of my holy grail guitars there for an amazing price!) but GC Used is where I shop 95% of the time.

This thread gives me joy. There will be some NGD threads next week or the other.

Well, that is, if @tobijohn and @mickey don´t forget to do it :)

We need that kind of threads here!

And just for pure fun, I´ll check those listings to see if I would have liked one if I was a lefty ;)

@BatUtilityBelt You were *this* close to get another guitar (just) before Christmas! :D

If I was a lefty and had the coin, I would have bought the Tele. It has 22 frets, so it´s perfect. I like the headstock too, I don´t like the original (Fender/Squier).

This thread has legs! Who would have thunk it, but a lefty feeding frenzy is exactly what AG&GSF needed to boost traffic over the Holidays Season.

EDIT:

Even though I had to see this message three times in the course of submitting this comment.

Just to twist the knife a little, about a week ago I saw a lefty ESP LTD EC-1000 Deluxe at a pawn shop for just a couple hundred bucks. For a moment I contemplated the insane idea of flipping a lefty LP style guitar righty . . . then I came back to my senses and walked away.
