I"ll try and attach a couple of photos for those who can't access FB, but I don't think I've ever seen an AL that looks quite like this one

If you look closely at the pics, it almost appears like it's made of ash or some other rough grain wood that is showing through the finish both front and back.
And EDIT...googlez tells me there was a 2800 made with both ash top and body....learn something new every day! https://www.rondomusic.com/al2800dlxash.html

2xxx series were the lower coast versions, yes - generally with rosewood fingerboards and less binding/bling than the 3xxx counterparts that had ebony/triple binding/etc. In general the 2xxx had ceramic pickups and basic wiring too where 3xxx had alnico pickups and "upgraded" wiring - whatever that means.
Having said all that, and all-ash LP has to be a pretty damn heavy guitar, no?
