So I decided to post my 3000 on Reverb just to see what would happen in the midst of the guitar-covid-shortage-frenzy, and of course it sold within about 36 hours. It was a really nice 3000 so I'm not surprised it sold fast as I had it priced pretty fair, but also made a few bucks as a bonus.
What I had REALLY wanted when I bought this was a 3100/3110 or possibly a 3125. A 3125 popped up on Reverb last week and I had half thought of buying it to replace the 3000 but of course that sold too. I tried to calm the angst by reminding myself that it was CSB and that's not my favorite finish anyway.
But other than that, is there anyone out there listening that might have a 3100/3110/3125 they would be interested in getting rid of? My 1st choice in finish would be Tobacco/2TS followed by most of the traditional burst. Preferences would be for a model from the early-mid 2010's with the full 2" body and under 10lbs. AD-201 in TVY or VWHT would also be candidates for "guitars I sold and wish I never did" .

Yes, that is also on the list of possibilities If the one kurt had listed was a burst I would have likely already put in the order.
I think I'll still always have an AL though, that's the guitar that brought me to this forum in the first place - many moons, owners and platforms ago.

I have an extra tobacco AL-3000 that you don’t want. PM me if you want to buy it anyway, only to be disappointed that it was never really what you wanted in the first place, so you can sell it on Reverb and end up back where you are now.

In somewhat of an update, there was a seller that posted 4 separate harms all at once on Reverb over the weekend, not sure if anyone saw them from here. All 4 of them sold in a matter of hours, I put in an offer on a Pelham blue toaster one that was accepted. As we began talking he also told me he was "cleaning house" and I worked out a package deal on the harm and also a P90 goldtop 3010SE that appears to be in dead mint condition. Both on the way now so a dual NUGD upcoming!

Both of them just arrived yesterday afternoon, I let them acclimate overnight as it's been unseasonably hot and humid here for a few days.
This is the Harm, it is an LPB model that had toasters originally, the seller has replaced them with GFS NYIII humbuckers, not sure how they sound as I haven't plugged it in yet but they look to be a knockoff of a gretsch pickup of some kind. Guitar is in immaculate shape and it's my first time ever holding a Harm, you were right @mickey - these are dang nice guitars! This is the AL3010SE. He did not even have this listed on reverb yet, but we were going back and forth and I worked out a "package" deal. He purchased this new in 2013 from Kurt, the original recieipt was still in the box and it looks like it's maybe been out of the case a handful of times. The one little "surprise" was a tooling mark/ding in the poly on the binding near the 5th fret. Purely cosmetic but not disclosed prior to sale, and of course since it wasn't even listed not part of the item description. Having said, I asked him and he said he indeed did know about it and even had a screenshot of his conversation with Kurt after he bought it and that Kurt had given him a $20 credit, which he subsequently passed on. Other than the little ding, this is a beautiful example from the era. Haven't weight it yet but it is not a boat anchor.

I was planning on dropping in either the Set of P90's you made for me ( which are now in my LP deluxe ) or the Gibson Mini-hums that I took out of the deluxe, but may just hold off on that.Buddha Pickups wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:01 am That harm is pretty awesome

Let me know what your opinion is of those. I bought a used set of them a few years ago for a Fretwire Rick like kit but haven't done anything with it yet...

Initial thoughts ( after only plugging in once last night for the record ) is that they are very humbucker-ish, which you'd probably expect. Bridge is very bright and clear, although not as thick as a full size. Neck is a tad dark, dare I say maybe even a little muddy? Certainly usable and very quiet at idle though. There is no clear way to do a whole lot of adjusting and they are both awfully close to the strings, so that might be part of it. I also noticed that there is very little, if any difference in sound between the neck only and middle position - which is a bit odd, maybe something in the wiring needs a look.

Thanks for the feedback, As for the sound issue, I've had that happen with three way toggle switches but can't recall it happening with a three way blade switch. However, if both the bridge and neck pickups work correctly in their respective positions then I would think it's something in the switch itself...uwmcscott wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 2:46 pm
