I was indeed the lucky one to get the sole specimen of this SX model on the Rondo site. My fiancée took my subtle hint and ordered it…even arrived on my birthday! Hopefully for all it’s a prototype of an upcoming offering.
This bass is GORGEOUS!! The one piece body is light weight and contoured very well. The one piece, roasted, flame maple neck would command a $400 price from Warmoth. The tuners are ultra smooth. I like that it has the non-US SX headstock (that you can see on many non-US models on the SX website). Setup is on point. I’m sure I’ll mess with the pickups, pots, jack and rewire the whole thing, but mostly because I enjoy doing all that. I think I’ll have a world class instrument at that point!
Looks quite handsome paired with my very first Rondo purchase from many years ago.

Looks great. A real peach.
