Howdy all!

I have a GL B759 that I ordered from upscale audio. It is a “Kevin’s Stash” hand picked variant.
I had it sitting in the V1 of an amp I recently sold. Now it needs a new host!

My question stems from this -
I have a pedal that takes an EF86 and am wondering if the B759 would work in the pedal. I know this is probably a seriously stupid question, but one I cannot find an answer to right away online.

So if this is a “You’re a dummy, they’re two different things!” then I’ll accept that haha. Thank you for your help!

"You're a dummy they're two different things!"

B759 is essentially the same as a 12ax7 dual triode (preamp) tube.
An EF86 is a pentode (output) tube.
