Got a crazy deal on another Solar!

I love being able to see the wood grain on guitars. The top looks almost matte; is it just the lighting, or does it not have the glossy clearcoat?

I love plain tops and that's a beautiful example. Just did some quick research on Solar and learned that they are Ola Englund's brand. If this is your second Solar then you must be impressed with the brand.

Yeah this is my second and I'm super impressed. For the features you get its a no brainer. Out of all the brands I've played this one sticks out the most.

In terms of what I usually gravitate towards when I play/record:

Kiesel: Aries 7
Solar: A 2.6
Ibanez: Titan
Sterling: JP100D
Schecter: KM7, Banshee
Then comes the multitude of other guitars I have. I really want to get a solar 7 string with an evertune which may dethrone the Aries - we'll see later this year.

But yeah, Solar is up there for me in the metal category.
