The recent posts by Sabas, Doc, Kerry and quite a few others took me back to times when things were simpler, not as intense, and having different opinions was "ok". In any case, thinking about those times, weather it was dancing a 15's in 7th grade or driving along 95 on my way back from a party, or even the lonely nights driving around south beach after work by myself to clear my mind; it just made me flat out sad that times aren't as simple. Don't get me wrong, no depression or long term issues here, its life, it changes, we evolve but man, putting myself back in those days brought this improvisation out.
Real simple on this one, I used my Gretsch Streamliner and Peavey 4 string bass tuned down 1/2 step and the AxeFX/Parallaxe.
I tried to capture the loneliness and desperation of those fleeting memories, kinda like screaming out of a car window at speed or the like. The production I kept simple, left all the mistakes in, and tried to make it sound like if it was recorded in a really open space.
Hope you guys enjoy it, and let me know if anyone wants to jam over it, I'd be more than happy to send it off.
