So first off, just want to say that this isn't in any way an original tune or anything like that. This was something I recorded after listening to Electric Tears by Buckethead. This album is absolute genius and I recommend you checking it out. So this is 100% inspired by Buckethead and ripped off by yours truly to practice over.
I earballed more or less what one of the tunes sounded like and added a little something here or there to jam with in a much slower pace than I'm used to. (Doc is going to love this one).
Anywho, let me know if you guys want the backing and I'll upload it.

You're not wrong, Doc is going to like that a lot.
If I had heard this, but not read your post, I would have guessed Neal Schon. It sounds a lot like Neal's solo stuff, very airy and soulful. Seems I need to check out Buckethead's solo stuff. Admittedly, I've not really been a fan of his work in various groups he's been in...just never stuck with me, but maybe he was constrained in what he could do?
And your playing is great as always. Fast, slow, it doesn't really matter, you can play just about anything at a seriously impressive level. Nice work!
