An idea for this first weekend in December...
It would be interesting to hear you play, sing or snap your fingers along to one (or two, or all) of these two-and-a-half minute clips. No rules, no judgments (although constructive input is always appreciated). I tried to steer away from minor keys to take a break from the pandemic gloom.
Do whatever you want: Add a tasty bass line, strum along with your favorite tone or bedazzle us with a mixolidian (sp) mode solo.
If you make a video, there's extra credit for cat content.
Many of these clips will be familiar and all of them were lifted from YouTube without giving proper credit - but check out the nifty avatars I made for each! Apologies in advance if I omitted your favorite genre.
I think the solo would be in E for this one
Play along and share your effort?

I like the concept here, trying to decide if there is any instrument ( or skill ) i have that I might possibly sustain for long enough to fill one of these clips. I actually found my old violin from my grade-school days in the basement the other day, possibly a fit for the country tune?

I figure if I pitch an idea, I should participate. Rather than watching 2.5 minutes of me trying to hold in my stomach for the camera, I threw in one of my Summer-on-the-Ranch clips.
Background: Thanks to the pandemic, I lost some hours at work but had loads of vacation time built up. So why not try something new? Somebody I knew needed a hand with irrigation and chores so I volunteered.
Most of the summer's clips were quickies documenting the Only-Seen-from-a-Distance tasks I was attempting. On this occasion I just let the camera roll because it was too ridiculous to stop recording. I've sinse improved. The trick: pre-drill the hole and then try to hit the nail head at least every other swing.
The Boss OD3... I have "better" OD pedals but I succumb to tweeking knobs instead of playing. I added a bit of compression to the guitar when I edited the recording, but that's it.
