Hey boys… I’m in for an emergency surgery tonight to clear an infection in my arthritic right knee, so I may be dark for a bit. I’m in pre-op right now.

Not a single one of the nurses would carry my amp in. Pfffffft! Canada.

Good luck with the surgery! I get my knee scoped next month. And in true Canadian fashion, it doesn't work right because of hockey, eh. Hopefully they can clean it up good so I can hit the ice again soon...

Glad to see you can have a sense of humor about the ordeal. Here's hoping you have a speedy recovery and return to the forum.

Barrhaven mojo sent. Hope all turns out well.

And if you did sneak a guitar in, be careful: you might have some nurses trying to "take your temperature".

Still in the hospital. Hopefully, I’ll be discharged tomorrow. What a drag. 4-6 weeks of treatment at home too. Gah!

I’m home now, but still on iv antibiotics for a few weeks. It’s a giant PIA. I can walk with a cane, but it isn’t easy or comfortable.

Still, not so long ago a joint infection like this was a death sentence, so I’ll just take my lumps and get through.

The worst part is that I’ve had absolutely no lyrical ideas at all. What’s the point of suffering if I can’t even creatively whine about it?

Well, you are home, and things are under control, take it easy. I am sure inspiration will strike, at some point, when things quiet down.

Uh... joint infection, I had to look it up. Another one of these darn things that can take you out.

Those can be really bad. A friend of mine has had 20 surgeries for those in the past 13 months!

I'm glad your doing well. I believe my son will be having both his knees repaired or replaced soon and I know the recovery takes a while but the end result is being able to walk without pain again so hang in there.
