Just ordered a $30 strat neck from Wish. Decided to upgrade the Lotus strat with a better neck and tobijohns pickups upgraded with A5 magnets.
I will review the neck once it gets here.
Incoming Strat Neck from Wish.com
Let us know what you think, I could use a couple maple fretboard Strat necks myself...

If it’s anything like anything else from wish.com, get ready for some kindling!
A couple of spots on the fretboard edge are pretty chewed up.
The existing neck has fret ends that were filed at an angle too far toward the middle of the fret. It's actually a great, slightly chunky neck, but bends pull the strings off the side on the E and e. I don't know of a way to fix this except for a refret?
KMise branded necks in that price range have turned out quite nice. I've had good luck with their stuff via Amazon especially.

Today I found out about the you get what you pay for with my 24" scale neck for my Jaguar. The dumbasses cut the end of the neck wrong for a Fender Jaguar/Mustang and made a 3/16" overhang that I had to make a small spacer to put the 12th fret the correct distance from the bridge.
Learned something new, though I should have done more research and I would have know it was wrong before purchasing.

no, it was from a random China based seller on eBay with the same stolen photos as every other Chinese eBay guitar parts listing.tobijohn wrote:That's the neck from Kmise?honyock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 4:09 am Today I found out about the you get what you pay for with my 24" scale neck for my Jaguar. There's a reason they call it "Wish".....as in "Yeah, you Wish"

If they don't have an overhanging 22nd fret it would be fine. I think they just fail to understand that not all 22 fret necks need an overhang.tobijohn wrote:
Dang, I've been considering a 24" neck from ebay (chinese seller). I wonder if they are all like this. I have a previous project that I want to convert to short scale.

I have wondered about those "Wish" offerings. Anything I'm looking for , ridiculously cheap.
FWIW, I have been very satisfied with the Allparts necks via The Stratosphere site 109$.
These Allparts necks are from Nagano, Japan. Maybe all allparts necks are, IDK.
The fret wire is narrow-ish, but can be tall. I pay attention to looking up wire spec on allparts site if stratosphere doesnt list the wire spec. I was getting 7.25 necks, so vintage wire specs shouldnt be too surprising for me, or so I learned.
In fact, I bought a neck from Sound Guitar Works, and the Allparts necks seem like better grained maple, similar frets, good rosewood, at half the price.

I've bought a LOT of necks, and there just ain't no point in going too cheap. Even if it doesn't have terrible issues, you're buying a cheap piece of wood. It looks cheap, it feels cheap, it is cheap. Whatever their version of maple is; it's not as nice as Canadian maple. It doesn't look as nice (usually with mineral streaks and/or ugly grain), and who knows how long it's been dried? If at all? It may seem fine now, but in a couple of years, you might want to take up archery with it.
If you're getting rosewood, that's always a gamble too. Usually, it looks streaky, or has a greenish cast to it, or it's too light in color, or has some other aesthetic quality that's off-putting.. I bought a neck once that had a knot in the fretboard, right between two frets!
You'll never get a cheap, Chinese neck that doesn't need a fret level, and you can bet the alloy they use for the frets themselves isn't the best. The frets are usually soft, and will need to be replaced at some point, if that's even possible. One time I tried de-fretting a Chinese bass neck and the frets couldn't even stand up to the heat of the soldering iron for the few seconds it takes to melt the glue in the fret slot. They started to melt! That shouldn't happen.
I'm with Partscaster on the $109 Allparts necks from Stratosphere. Those necks are the business! There's an unconfirmed rumor that Allparts made all the necks for Fender Japan, and I think it's true. If it's not true, these necks are indistinguishable from an American Fender neck. You just have to be careful when you buy one, and check the specs. A lot of the Allparts necks on Stratosphere are vintage spec, so if you don't want something with a U-shape profile and the truss rod adjustment at the heel of the neck, make sure you read the specs... All the $109 ones are unfinished too, so there's that, if you don't feel comfortable finishing it yourself. But otherwise, those necks are a much better investment of your money than a $30 neck from China.
WD necks look good too. I got a baritone Strat neck by WD that I'm going to use for a build (I'm pretty sure I bought it from the Stratosphere too). Looks identical to an Allparts neck.

I’ve had 4 Kmise necks. 2 were really nice, the other 2, not so much. All of them were playable right out of the box. The 2 less than great ones had significant finish issues. One had a spray-tan orange “vintage tint” with orbital sanding marks all over it. On the other one, the clear had sunken in around most of the fret marker dots. I got eBay involved on those 2 after contacting the sellers and being offered something like a $2 refund. I ended up getting a full refund on both. Here are the 2 I kept.

I quit Wish a few months ago when an order came up that I never made. I got a notification from my debit card about a $65 purchase from Wish so I opened the app and immediately canceled the order, deleted my account and the app.

FWIW, my 4 Allparts necks all came with made in Nagano, Japan, stickers on them.
Stratoshpere doesnt always include fret sizes, but sometimes does. Like Mossman suggested, one may need to double check for complete description, often available at Allparts website. I got vintage frets on one neck due to lack of me being sure, with .073 x .042, which worried me with 7.25 radius and fretting out. But than I found similar neck with .079 x .051, and got 3 of them. I love them. 7.25 radius, fairly tall frets, they played great, no need for fret work. I just rolled the wooden edges once I was sure I had good fit with 2-7/32 bridge spacing...which I also love now.
I remember seeing a vid where they guy takes a sanding block right down the entire edge of neck at 45 degrees to roll-over the neck edge. With 2-7/32 string spacing, that could promote roll-off as fret end bevel gains ground. I just rolled wooden edge and left fret ends alone.

my little niece was crazy about Wish...til she started to receive the things she ordered. Like a smart watch that broke in a few days.Partscaster wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 5:52 am I have wondered about those "Wish" offerings. Anything I'm looking for , ridiculously cheap.
I haven't ordered anything from them because I haven't needed anything. The incredibly low prices are enticing...but probably anything you get from them will be crap.

And the irony, while they advertise everything else, I bet they dont even sell real crap. I'ld like to order 500lbs of crap for my gardens. Just 100% crap, no trash, no condoms or tampax tubes( I've shoveled many an outhouse). And I bet "Wish" would f-it all up and deliver something other than crap.peskypesky wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 6:13 pmmy little niece was crazy about Wish...til she started to receive the things she ordered.
