Just got this handy pedal combo...I was already using Mooer pedals and swapping four of them in favor of this didn't really change much at all, but allows me to get rid of the Pedal Dance I truly dislike.

So far seems like a great piece of equipment. Only two gripes: the built-in tuner is next to useless and secondly, I'm not a fan of Mooer Clean Boost which, to me, seems more like a really weak OD/distortion pedal.

Just made.a 4-lead hookup for it too, so I can have the delay and verb in the amp loop.

Anyone else have this gadget?

I'm glad you liked it. These get good reviews, so when I found one at the local MGR, I had to try it. I didn't like it. It was usable, but the drive sounds just didn't sound good to me. Too much hiss and too bright in my ears. I wanted to like it, and tried adjusting it, but couldn't get a sound I completely enjoyed. I liked the setting where you could combine effects into one button push a lot. That's a great feature!

Yeah, each type amp and setup likes a different type drive and all. With each rig I've owned, a totally different type OD is required. I've found the Mooer drives to be really quiet, clearly less noisy than the amp's own drive channel, but then again, I use very moderate gain in my ODs. Even when all three are stacked for my dirtiest lead sound, it's still a lot less gainy than the other guitarist's rhythm sound is even.

Too bad the tuner is pretty much useless on this. And another thing that would be great would be a possibility to change the order of pedals. I understand the boost is first, then OD and then distortion - which is more like another OD though. The boost, thus, is nowhere near a clean boost like the name would imply.

But anyhow, sure was a good trade for four pedals, three mooers just like in this and a Marshall Jackhammer.

I was curious on those. I have a Sonicake Black Hammer which I paid nothing for and think it is really 1) convenient 2) sounds pretty damn good 3) seems very solidly built and 4) seems to change with each amp or guitar I use. I find this strange but I guess it is no diffent than how certain amps sound better with certain guitars and pickups. The Mooer has a little more with it but am curious how they would compare in terms of durability. That is my biggest fear with the Sonicake. It seems solid but one doesn’t know. You have to love throwing the pedal in the back of the amp cab for travel and there’s your rig! Congrats! Interested to hear more of your thoughts on paying it

Mooers never struck me as particularly robust. Not flimsy either, but not that strong looking. Very small, plastic knobs, plastic ring under the switch. The Marshall Jackhammer I traded in however....it was truly built tough. You could probably drive over it with a truck without issues.

I loved the Jackhammer for years in front of my Ceriatone halfstack. Marvellous Marshall tone all the way. Ever since that, never found a really good use for it so now I decided to get rid of it.

Stumbled on Mooer pedals by accident, the drives sound good in front of my Blackstar. I used the Cruncher as my main OD for a good while and you can't really easily tell is that on or the amps own tube drive section. And the rumble drive in this one seems as good or better for me.

Pedals liks this fascinate me because they are in a way easier to use than a multifunction unit like a Zoom G5/Hotone Ampero, etc etc, even though internally they provide similar curcuitry for a certain ranege of effects. What they excel at is providing digital effects with an analog interface...same for the progenitor of this genre which I think was the NUX Cerberus. There's something about having the convenience of digital curcuitry with the tactile satisfaction of labeled knobs, dials, and switches. If they would just add a looper to the Cerberus, I'd be all over it...I want a single unit but with the analog interface for the effects.

I hear you, modeling multiFX units can be a pain to adjust. The other guitarist has an AxeFXIIUltra and he is still figuring it out. Needs a laptop really to adjust sounds efficiently.

This obviously has knobs, same as the pedals it includes, but it doesn't remember knob positions. It just works with the settings the knobs are at, you only program them on and off. But many units remember knob positions. I use a Mooer Brown sound amp simulator pedal at home, and it doesn't matter what position the knobs are at, it will remember the positions last selected before pressing the button. Which is handy, because then you can have totally different settings for each channel with the same knobs.

Can't remember but I've used digital thingies which have knobs, and when you turn the knob it does nothing, until you come to where it was. After that it works both ways. Ie if you have saved treble setting at 12 o clock and later the treble knob is at zero, turning the knob does nothing until after 12, and if you want to cut treble, you need to bring it past 12 and then back. I think that's the best way to do it in gadgets with analog controls for digital domain.
