My delay pedal finally breathed it's last after 11 years of faithful service, so I decided to grab something else and since mine was kind of limited in terms of options I wanted something full-featured but great sounding and still fairly easy to operate...cue the Grand Canyon! Came across this one for a neat $125 (they're $280 new), arrived in perfect shape and with a power supply (won't be needing it though).

The best thing about this pedal is not only is it very versatile with 12 delay types, looper, ability to use both, etc. but each setting really does sound great. The reason I had a kind of simple delay pedal beforehand was because I found that many of the ones with lots of options have delay types of varying quality...I would really like one or two and not like the others. Every single delay type on the Grand Canyon is useful and really sounds great.

Going to be messing around with the looper a little bit later on tonight, but so far I am really impressed. The only negative comment I can make is that the tiny lettering for controls would probably make this a bit tougher to work with live than some other pedals, but I tend to get to know my pedals controls very quickly and could probably do any of it on the fly if need be.

Really great work once again from the folks at EHX, this one's going to be a keeper.

And a good soundin' demo (not by me):

Another delay usually gives me a yawn but EH perks me up. I'm betting it has some interesting sounds. And a great selection of twiddly knobs

Oh you and me both, I don't really typically look for any pedals unless I have an explicit need for something...in this case dictated by my usual delay giving up the ghost after many happy years together haha. Very impressed by this offering from EHX, didn't expect to fall in love with the first new delay I gave a shot to but seems to have worked out that way.
