Arrived today, been seeking a good backup for my Hiwatt (which needs a little repair right now) and although my Hotone Nano Heart Attack mini amp is awesome it’s a one trick pony in that it only does that cranked Mesa sound perfectly but as the name implies clean tones aren’t much of a concern .
Since my main rig is my 76 Hiwatt Custom 100 and pedalboard I wanted to find another amp, tiny footprint, powerful, and preferred at least hybrid and not just solid state.
Enter this VOX MV50 Clean model - so named because it focuses on clean tones. It is insane how great this tiny amp sounds, and with a built in attenuator offering 12.5W, 25W, and 50W options you have lots of different ways to build your tone. Headphone out as well (haven’t tried it though!). These are about $230ish new, got this one for $160 used with original box and power supply.
I’ll post a few demo clips of just the amp and the amp with a few of my pedals tomorrow when it’s not so late, but here’s a pic of this little beast:
And for scale here it is atop my Hiwatt head and next to the Hotone (on right). It really is tiny.

HNAD! it's adorable. love the little output meter
hope your hiwatt is back in action soon - seriously droolworthy ampage

Thanks! Think it's just a blown fuse that needs to be replaced, but we'll figure it out soon enough. In the meantime it's been fun exploring my first "new amp" in about 11 years. It's definitely not the Hiwatt, but for what it is this is a very impressive little amp!
Will get some clips up tomorrow with a few different guitars.
Looking forward to an indepth review. I saw the Andertons utuber awhile back, but take a sellers video with a shaker of salt. I have the Hotone diamond so this would be maybe a step up. and I usually use one of my monoprice tube amps.
I just ordered a Monoprice 5 watt Stage Right tube amp from Amazon, I hope I get it tomorrow. It’ll be the first tube amp I get.

Yeah honestly I don't pay any mind to anything on Youtube with regard to tone demos...there are so many factors affecting what you're hearing that it really only gives you an idea of how a piece of gear "can" sound, not how it will sound when you get it home and use it with your rig.
Should get a couple of audio clips of the amp up today recorded with my new Sennheiser E906 that just arrived.
I have the MP5, it was my first tube amp too. Fun little player, great for a home player setup like me.
I'm looking forward to the Vox clips. They are making more and more amazing amps tinier and tinier...

Yep that EQ switch is surprisingly useful...I thought things sounded good with it on flat but when I put it on "deep" it really adds a little extra oompf. Getting some more pics up into my Slowhand's Gear Porn thread and then I'll get these demos rollin'!

Ok, here's a quick clip I banged out...playing my walnut Kiesel V6X here into the Vox amp...just a bit of delay and compression from my Subdecay and Carl Martin as well. Brand new mic for me so still playing around with placement (and clearly I need to be louder!) but it'll do for now:
