Very Cool 1964 Danelectro/Silvertone Restoration
Cool Dan-o guitar with built in amp case. Too bad he didn't talk about the amp at all..but the guitar is pretty slick and in good shape after 60 years for sure

Re: Harmony Juptiter
So I was again watching guitar porn on the Harmony Jupiter and the video demo pointed out that while it's expensive, some of that is the premium Mono padded Bag included and of course, the Ntitrocellulose finish which will age and crack beautifully in 40 to 50 years. @ 65 years of age, I'm thinking ...

Re: AGF Domain & Website Renewal Time For 2024-2025
Tried to donate both with Thai card or USA card but the hangup seems to be the system won't accept my location being Thailand and cannot change it to USA (I guess fraud prevention). If you have a bank account that can take Zell transfers I can go direct from my USA bank. I sent a PM...but it's just...

I love that at the time he sold it, he had 170 guitars..and even now has at least 70 after just recently selling some off.

Re: Custom Inlays
The late (great) Buster B. Jones had a guitar with "BUSTER B" inlaid on the neck. At least until a couple of airport baggage handlers in Memphis TN decided they needed it worse than Buster did. Of course they worried about "fencing" it with all the inlay on the neck, so they too...

Re: Custom Inlays
After just putting in dots on the fretboard of the guitar my son and I are building.......I cant imagine the talent needed to do that! And thats before CNC machines.... Yeah .it's a good bet those aren't stickers. Maybe rhinestones? (Mother of pearl) based upon another guitar up at auction. lf.jpeg

Re: Playing Unplugged
I have a friend who is obsessive with being quiet. He lives in an 1800 Sqft single home with his GF, who works from home. He typically plays at 65dB (a conversation, whispering for my Northeast buds). I suggest an experiment I did with him to show his loudness wasn't as much as a nuisance as he tho...

Playing Unplugged
I have a Maya Strat clone, nothing special really, ceramic Wilkinson pickups that sound great however and I really enjoy playing it amped up at the edge of breakup and especially with some tremolo and reverb to enhance the tone. But...I find myself enjoying almost as much playing at night on the sof...

I found a few songs I really liked, sampling official vids. One was of more Spanish style. Good for her to try and mash in a new direction. Good to have more change/mashing in pop in general, I guess. On another note, I've been playing with a harmonica guy and my bass friend in practices once a wee...

Hats off to your curiosity. I did not know there was a new album and certainly missed the hubbub. I need to get out more. I only knew about it as an old friend had posted on his Instagram page that he liked it. I was quite surprised because he and I grew up on a diet of Rolling Stones, post 70s New...

I love listening to these icons of Rock and Roll from my teenage tears, the people they casually hung out with and the stories (Clapton/Harrison LP) are just like a roadmap to rock history.
