Re: NGD: SJM-ish Liquid

The only mini HBs and Tri-sonics I have are already in guitars. But I suppose I could cut a couple more blanks without the pickup holes and you could finish those? I have 1/8" and 1/16" basswood veneered plywood and 1/8" walnut veneered panel. The clear one I'm experimenting with is ...

Re: NGD: SJM-ish Liquid

Nope. The lines and pickup mounting holes you see are for the pickups from a 1960's Conrad branded Teisco. They're P90 like, but slightly smaller. Somewhere between P90 and Burns pickups, closer to P90 sized but smaller in both directions, pictured here. Well, while you're at it, how about making o...

A couple other Liquids are getting different pickups and Jaguar control plates. Here is an MDF template and clear plastic template I just cut together for that purpose.
Is that pickguard being cut for three mini-humbuckers?

I'd be surprised if they were, the SJMs could be almost a decade older than the ones in the latest batch of three pickup lefty Liquids.

PSA: Possible deal on AL-3100MCC - Handyman's Special

The auction just started but something to keep an eye on: Worst case scenario is a bad pickup, but the set would most likely be replaced anyway. Best case scenario, a bad switch or soldering joint, but maybe the contact plate just needs to be bent a little. https://www.ebay.com/itm/305281188907?mkev...

good news is it worked as advertised. no tactile inlay edge anymore and just a little bit of cleanup of glue later and you'd never know. How do you plan to clean up the super glue? l always end up with smudges of it around whatever I was trying to repair, and a couple fingers glued together...

Not a bad price if you give any value to a Jazzmaster tailpiece and/or Liquid's history. It has a Make an Offer option so you may be able to get a better price. I've got a 2TS one already otherwise I'd be interested: https://reverb.com/item/70669547-sx-liquid-p90-left-handed-guitar-vintage-white?utm...

That is pretty surprising for Rickenbacker, especially knowing the Chickenbacker gets it right (or left if I may). I really don't like the fact that there's a Rickenbacker R logo on a guitar that isn't one (the TRC logo says "Monogram"). The few times I've gone to Ali Express for a model ...
