Re: Douglas Ceti (Harm) on Reverb
I still have and love my Ceti. Got some sweet Harpmaster modern P90s in it and it just sings. It's one that I don't plan on ever giving up.

That's cool. I'm a late comer to Megadeth, but once I gave them a listen I was all in.

Way cool! I have always wished I could play slide worth a flip but I never put the time in. Sounds like you are putting the time in and are on your way. Congrats on the smoking deal! Good to see you around too. I have started to hang more often. Honestly the slide end of things seems to be the easi...

Re: Douglas Hadron 625 FX NA - Thoughts or Opinions?
Those damn things still sort of haunt me. I talked myself out of one on several occasions. Wish I had just ignored me. JB is back! I talked myself out of 6 and 7 string Hadrons, and the SEG1 Ash, multiple times. Have I mentioned that I am dumber than a bag of hair? Sill have my Spad with the effing...

Went and did a thing: Gretsch content
Work with a guy (sold me a gorgeous Larrivee acoustic last year) that had recently purchased a Gretsch Boxcar resonator. Turns out that he loved it. Like a lot. He's in love with the idea of a resonator completely now. So much in love that he decided to get himself a pretty high end National. I forg...

That sucks. Hair of the Dog is a mainstay in my playlists, and I love cuts like Whiskey Drinkin' Woman and Crazy. But, yes, 80 is a great run for their line of work.

I’ve always regretted not getting an Agile double cut and an Agile AD-201 (I might have that model number wrong - but it was a flat top lp style). That quilted blue top is amazing.

Some people are a bit put off by elaborate inlays - but not me! That’s truly beautiful. That top really holds its own against the inlays. Beautiful all the way around. You’ve got a stunner there. HNGD!

New (to me) Larrivee LV-03
So earlier this week I got a lower end Takamine and absolutely hated it. Sounded like a toy compared to my (admittedly) bottom of the line Martin DX1. I was telling a guy I work with about this on Thursday and he said, “Why don’t you send that thing back and I’ll sell you one I don’t play anymore (h...

I just got one today (going to start a new thread) and I’m floored by how much I love it. It seems to fit squarely between a Martin and a Taylor tone-wise. Tone is subjective, though. What sounds amazing to me might hurt your ears!

Love, love, LOVE a nice V. And that is a nice V. Not a fan of the pointy Vs, but yours is just right. And that color...wow! I'd say for under $250 you scored pretty well. Congrats and HNGD!

Re: Just Picked up a New (to me) Katana 50
Nice score! Those Katana amps are nice ones, and get really loud for solid state amps. It's honestly ridiculous that I have a 50w amp, let alone the 100w Katana that I already had, because I always play at a very low volume. Nobody needs to hear me very loud. Set them up in stereo. Sent from my iPh...

Re: Just Picked up a New (to me) Katana 50
Where have you been hiding amigo!??! Been wondering if covid got you!?! Nope - just busy and not thinking about or playing much guitar over the last couple of years. Started a new design job about midway through 2021 and I'm really liking it there. So that's in the "Pro" column. But I'd b...

Re: Just Picked up a New (to me) Katana 50
Killer snag dude, I've always wanted to get one of those just to fiddle around on. And I think the photo looks proper, it's like that amp belongs in there on its merry way to crank some tasty jams out somewhere. Congrats on the new amp, hope she treats you like a fine wine. It's definitely easier t...
