I've like St. Augustine since I was a kid. I love the mish-mash of history and culture. Especially love the mix of culture when it comes to the restaurants!

Route 66. The whole damn thing. Hopefully there's still a few fun things to do along the way. Do you remember the old TV series with the two guys in a Vette (NEW Vette every year!) I know about the series, but I've never actually seen any of it. I'm going to assume it was sponsored in part by chevr...

Congratulations tonebender! I hope you have lots of time to enjoy a richly, fulfilling life with Mrs. Tonebender. In addition to motor-sickles and guitars, didn't you guys have a few competition horses, as well? I might have that wrong - my memory is a bit hazy.

Re: My furlough just became permanent

Jeffy, Scotty, better things will come. Might look bleak now, but you can handle it. Better things on the horizon, they just haven't shown up yet. I sure hope so. Unfortunately the horizon around here looks like rising Covid numbers. I have been told that I'm first on the list to get rehired, assum...

Re: My furlough just became permanent

Make sure you apply for unemployment. The extra 600/wk ends at the end of July i believe unless they vote to extend it I've actually been getting unemployment since the second week of April. Never thought I would get it, figured it would just be something I paid into my entire life and never use. S...

Re: Looking to get a Katana, some questions for those that have

Guys, can't thank you enough for all the helpful input! And Nash, awesome clips! You also have some really high end stuff-Kemper and AxeFX. The Katana is budget compared really to that stuff, isn't it? But you still must enjoy the Katana. I'm assuming the Tone Studio is free to get/use with a Katan...

Could be worse like east St. Louis. Then your the armpit of St Louis AND live in Illinois. But you're right not much there unless you farm, are a redneck hillbilly or guide for fish on the big lake. Used to work with some brothers and their uncle Crash years ago. Thet were something else. Yup. Lots...

Near Paducah. There's nothing in this area. A cultural and technological dead zone. And I'm apparently cursed to live out my life here.

Sucks for you man. I found out my temporary is permanent too about ten days ago. Didn't like the job much anyway. It was a huge sigh of relief when they let me go due to COVID. Graphic design can be done most anywhere Jeff. Get your shingle out there - you are only as good as the work you can show,...

Sorry about that. The amusment park biz will probably take a while to rebound. Ice cream , right? Maybe have them hire you back to spearhead selling direct to customers. I wont be going to big crowds soon but I'll eat ice cream :) Direct to customers for us is very difficult. We do it, but it requi...

Sorry to hear that Jeff. Got the permanent layoff notice last Monday myself after 20 years of service. My furlough just became permanent

Well, shit. Finally get a job I like and the universe decides to kick me in the nuts. No chance of going back this year, so they've just made furloughs permanent. They're hoping to rehire everyone at some point, of course, but cutting everyone loose now just makes it easier on the company. Hopefully...

Re: Martin D-18ish Acoustic Build

Question: Does anything look odd about this picture? I think it does, but I want to see if its noticeable to anyone else. https://i.ibb.co/x255tSQ/20200609-091338.jpg I don't see anything odd, either. Looks like a beautiful, almost-completed guitar. I can't wait to hear some sound clips of it. Outs...
