Re: Sweet Custom Shop Agile AD at GC!
Right next to it is a real old skool AL - old headstock AND old pointy horn. Looks like the pickups may have been swapped and it has one of those funky TP-6 tailpieces. At $349 that is tempting just for nostalgia's sake. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Agile/Used-Agile-Single-Cut-cherry-sunburst-S...

Good candidate for the 10% off used coupon - seems a little steep but it probably cost a lot more than that new with the trem and such

I have owned both in the past - but currently still just have Gibsons. I had several of the F335 clones and also an LP junior clone

And they'll sell every damn one of them. And probably to people who don't and never will play guitar... Yes and yes. I didn't go that far in my responses due to the forum rules ;-) And TBH, these facts are even a little more "throw up in the back of your mouth" than the actual website. Bu...

Re: For the MAGA guitarist who has everything
So let me make sure I understand correctly - We have the American Eagle Series, Presidential Series, and "God Bless the USA" series guitars, priced between 1-10 grand, that also happen to be made overseas? Even if it weren't a political figure behind the concept, it's such a blatant/jingoi...

Nice...you started off right where you left off, more strats! I only have one strat but it's exactly the same cosmetically ( white/maple ) and my favorite combo. I like satin finishes as well on just about anything so satin FTW.

Re: Pedalmania Dying Out?
I would guess that the infiltration of multi effects devices and amps with built in effects/software based amps have taken over a decent share of the traditional pedal market over the past 10 years. That and the proliferation of decent/cheap imported pedals. Oh, and old guys like me that are largely...

Congrats and welcome! That's one SX model I wish I would have grabbed back in the day. I like the yellow, also remember a cool Pelham Blue of the same model. And yes, they had a few different variations over the years, i agree that the pointy horn was older.

Re: Ashdown Amps ?
I used to ponder Ashdown amps back in the day. I think their bass amps were popular IIRC. My instincts always go to a USA made Peavey Classic 30 or Delta Blues for the best bang for the buck. They are getting harder to find. I sold my DB and kept my C30 just because of size/weight. I got my C30 fro...

He's a bit much at times (well, most of the time), but that's who he is. If he wasn't such a killer player he would definitely wear on you quickly. I've spoken with some of the wildwood sales guys that work with him on the demos and they say he's a hoot to hang out with and a very cool guy in perso...

This one hit further away than the last one and it affected us as much as any I have been through. It has been the week from hell and the hurricane is third on the list of bad luck. Monday a lady swerved right over into my lane and hit me head on at 55 MPH. It happened so quick I could not even rea...

Gristle tone man! I have enjoyed his reviews for Wildwood for many years, and he's from Milwaukee which is just a few hours from where I live. He plays a lot of small venues around the city, another show I need to see some day. He's a heck of a player and very entertaining overall.

Guitar Center 10% off used ( 499 and up )
This sale happens maybe once or twice a year. I consistently find more good deals on used stuff via GC than anywhere else, despite all the flak they get. And as long as you don't abuse it, you have can generally get a free return if what shows up is not to your liking, or worst case scenario you can...

It has been a long time since I bought any gear, and I've also been somewhat vacant from AGF due to work, kids going to college, travel, etc. Having said that, we moved my daughter off to college last weekend, and she just so happens to be going to school at the university in my hometown alma mater....

Damn that has some ridiculous flame. I can remember days of trolling through the Warmoth guitar neck online catalog drooling over necks that looked like that - but at probably 5 times the price just for the neck.

That looks like a great place to be. Our version of that is the lakes and rivers up in the northern part of the state, but we are also subject to the influx of tourism and all that comes along with it. It's always been expensive to have a place on a lake, but prices have literally doubled, sometimes...
