Re: I ain't believing this sh**!

What method did you use to ship it? Can they confirm that it is indeed at the Monroe location, or was that just the last scanned location? I generally only use UPS or FedEx to ship guitars so I'm sorry I can't offer an more advice, hope you get it resolved as I know it was a pretty unique guitar.

I remember the 90s too. My first gig in 91 was writing Lotus 123 macros. That didn't last! Regarding the UC track. I think the money is in professional services. Integrations and implementations and ongoing management. Thinking among other things APIs to the big Enterprise apps (Salesforce, Dynamic...

Re: PMP certification

I dunno...I'm quite a generalist - it's stood me well over the years because I can adapt quickly as business conditions change. But IT is a tricky game - perpetual pressure and deadlines and always trying to keep ahead. Some days I think I know nothing useful anymore. I could have written this ;-) ...

Re: PMP certification

They made me take ITIL Foundations recently. I found it to be a complete waste of time, but it might've been something that would have benefited people who really weren't aware of what software development in the last 5-10 years should look like. I felt the exact same way when I took the foundation...

If you're working with Developers like me you're generally seeing Agile, Scrum, or Safe. I feel like Safe is a little more popular locally. My vertical is mostly Unified Communications and surrounding infrastructure - things like Cisco Webex/CallManager/MS Teams/Zoom and all of the hardware/enpoint...

Re: PMP certification

It depends is the only answer I can give you. A lot of the people I work with scoff at certs, but I've gotten at least two or three jobs based on the learning I did for very basic entry-level certs. I think it's good for people who can also demonstrate knowledge conversationally and not just have t...

I guess i'm not sure - that's why I"m asking. Seems like most jobs that are being posted via recruiters, job sites, etc are still using the term "project managment" . I do currently work a lot with projects that involve infrastructure, albeit most of what used to be traditional on-pre...

I think I still have a copy of Aesop's fables from when I was a kid...but i'm not quite that old as your copy ;-) When I went back to school last fall, had to buy "textbooks". And some of them were actually bound devices made from paper - what a concept. It really took me a while to get ba...

Re: Reverb To Increase Selling Fee

I agree about the slowdown in general. Unless you are selling something rare/unique or well below market value, stuff sits and sits. Maybe with tax day tomorrow, there will be an uptick in purchases that I used to see in around April 15. People are definitely looking, I had my 73 deluxe listed for ...

Wonder how long until Ebay bumps theirs up to match. You know I never noticed that Ebay had a special fee of 3.5% to match reverb just for the guitars/basses category until I just went and looked. I always thought it was 10% across the board. I sell other stuff on eBay but not usually guitars. I ge...

I saw the same email, I am not a fan. Not sure that any of the proposed investments in marketing or support are worth it either. But they pretty much have the corner on that market, time will tell if it pays off for them or not.

Very nice. I kind of took a similar path and have amassed a Glock 19, a Sig P365 and a S&W M&P 22 compact along with a M&P 15 in 556. Next on the list Is a Ruger LCR in .357.

Sorry, I didn't notice that. No worries. I actually made an offer on that one but he did not accept. I bid a little low based on the sanded neck. There is a honey burst 3100 with a case out there that I’ve been trying to talk the guy Into shipping, big it’s his first listing and he’s a bit gun shy.

Re: Lefty AL3125 on the verb

Thanks for the heads-up. Judging from the production photos (always a risky thing to do with Rondo), it looks like the old style, thicker AL-31xxx series (small gap between the jack plate and the body binding). Based on the year of manufacture, it was probably one of the last of the old style L-3xx...

Lefty AL3125 on the verb

For Those who may not remember, the AL3125 was basically a 3100 with some chambering for weight relief. They were not too common, especially not in left handed config. This looks like a nice one with a nice case too. Price is a probably a little high but offers are accepted https://reverb.com/item/3...

Lots of great thoughts here already and i agree with almost all of them. And that's very likely the reason i'm still here - the commonality and camaraderie of the core members of this community. I was by no means an "old timer" in the overall life of AGF, but I think it was almost 10 years...

I certainly rocked some Bon Jovi back in the day, Slippery When Wet era. I’m not sure if I even know the names of any of their other albums off the top of my head, but I remember many of their tunes had a good time/kegger party/chasing girls feel. And the girls sure did like them too. And the intro ...

Re: What is the SX of firearms?

This sounds great for $200. For me at least but I cant find any in ca. Is there a similar new model number? G2C is still the current model number, although it does come stock with 12 round capacity so the CA rules would make that a problem. Seems like just about all the major manufacturers are maki...
