Re: WTB: Original Agile Ghost (Ax-2)

Local ad, tempted but i don't know if i'd like it. gh1.jpg gh2.jpg This is an Explorer styled electric guitar from Agile: the original “Ghost” (NOT a Ghost II or III). This is the pre-lawsuit version; an exact copy of the Gibson model before they were ordered to make changes. I am the original owner...

Re: Whats on your work bench?

2 amp pcb eyelet boards from Hoffmans EL34 world. First a tweed princeton 5F2a, second a similar style amp with a el84 output and slightly different circuitry, Kalamazoo model 1. 2 inputs but join-able. They should sound close but i am hoping different enough to make a nice full sound. Going to be d...

I thought the maple necks were a regular item, not custom.

Edit: getting fretboards and necks mixed up.

Re: Odd Rondo interaction

I wouldn't mind having a 3200 but I don't play the bunch of gits I have now enough. My 3010 root beer wide which I upgraded to Giovanni's pickups has about 1 hour playtime. The used ones I picked up are all playable, the 2000 was professionally set up and I should be rotating it to the " play m...

Re: Odd Rondo interaction

I can't look at his listings. 9 string 10 string fanned frets etc. Sad the old days are gone of choosing between 7 models of LP's. $600 is too much for a a LP copy. I've bought studios for less than that.

2024 Yard sale, Flea market, CL, FB-MP finds

Can't believe i didn't start this thread in January. I'm probably forgetting some stuff but here is the latest. Yard sale find. Nicest day out so far this year, it hit 50. Strat copy, red, looks like a cheap Squier. No decals so maybe they were sanded off? Paint was really nice so even the body was ...

Not like the old days, now your computer has to match or it may not even start. My mustang is in the garage over the winter, I think there's a mouse nest in the bellhousing. When I started it up last week I could smell something burning after it got up to temp. Hope I don't have to pull the trans, w...

Re: Having problems with my nut

You can try a wound string for a file. I don't like shims, I would try glueing it first with wood glue. Hiroshima files are one of my favorite purchases, though not cheap.

Even the 99 and up 4.6 will be a little better. Isn't cost effective to spend coyote bucks in a 27 year old car.

Re: HEY JOE!

Wasn't hey joe a cover when Jimi did it? Yes, this is true. There is some dispute over who actually wrote it, though a guy named Billy Roberts registered a copyright on it in 1962. However, like a lot of old blues songs, it was being performed as a public domain song long before this, and long befo...

Haven't watched TV in 27 years. Local weather that's it. Hate youtube unless it's showing me how to change a headlight bulb without taking the front bumper off. Wife has CSI, NCIS, crime dramas on as long as she is awake.

Re: Replacing nut

Measure twice cut once. Tusq makes really nice ones, you have to measure the height, width, spacing etc. Bottom also might be flat or curved. They make string spacing rulers which are very nice to have. But, that all being said, you might be better off bringing it somewhere than investing in the too...

Used to listen to shortwave 25 years ago. You could get other countries versions of our news and politics. I would think any propaganda stations you would be able to figure out after a while. I have a few JRC branded shortwaves and i could pick up just about any worldwide stations with a long wire a...
