Yes, they are microphonic. But that is the reason I wanted them, for that glassy, clangy goldfoil kind of sound. Probably not a good descripton, but you get the idea.

If nothing else on that Zenon, the pickups alone are worth the price and make a great sound. I saved a set from a Tesco some years back and pitched the neck and body as they were not worth fixing and put the pickups in a Squier Bullet.

I remember one of our H. S. teachers back in the 60's drove one of those. The guy was 6'2" well over 300 lbs. The car definitely had a big lean to the driver's side going up the street.

Rollin, you might want to consider that holding down wire to a pot with a flat tip screwdriver and resting the pot on a lug nut are causing a problem. Those will both act as heat sinks and cause the iron longer to heat up the solder, potentially causing you to burn up a pot or not getting a good bon...

I bought a Teisco about 4 or 5 years ago for $100. The guitar was crap. but the pickups were great, so I pulled the pups and scraped the rest and put them in a Squier and was not disapointed. Still have it.

]golem, the first new car I ever bought was about the same color less the sparkle. I bought a 70 1/2 Chevrolet Cammaro that was Citrus Green. I called it the frog. Like the photos without the stripes. I had just gotten out of the Army and this was a real treat.
