Re: Whats your' latest gear acquisition?

A friend of mine and fellow musician stumbled onto a deal way too good to pass up on a Taylor T5. It became his No.1 and made his mint condition Taylor 214 CE Koa expendable. I was at his gig Sunday when he mentioned there was suppose to be a guy showing up to purchase the 214 but he was a no show s...

Re: Anyone remember Jim?

I remember zacsdad well. Pretty sure I traded, bought and sold gear with him. IIRC, he was the original builder/owner of that 3200 semi-custom that you, I, and a half dozen others on AGF owned at one point. I was remembering that P90 3200 that had a brown finish of some sort. That guitar was a real...

Will you expand on the idea and add some commentary about the site? Maybe you could get members to make really short statements and just work them in back to back.

Re: Trade Drama Got me confused and frustrated

So he is not making any demand for swapping back? He just sent it off for "repair" or "adjustment"? You can always undo the deal, I would not get too worked up about it now. Let us know how it plays out.

Re: Car Transport - Sabas *Updated*

I am reading all kinds of reports of people renting EVs that they abandon for Uber when they run out of juice and there is no charging station. One guy said he rented a gasoline powered vehicle but when he landed and got to the rental car company there were no gas engines left so he had to take an E...

My band mate was at a blues jam night in a bar south of here one night. He was sitting next to a dude at the bar listening to the various performers. They were commenting back and forth on the talent. Before long someone on stage announced that there was a legend in attendance and everyone should &q...

Tasty licks Tommy. The other night a young lady asked me how much would the band charge to play her son's upcoming wedding in Colorado. I told her the band would play for free but the flight, lodging, gear rental, meals, etc., would cost a small fortune. Then I recommended she hire your band. I told...

Lately I have been thinking I need something less than 10 watts. His demo of the 2 watt setting has really got me leaning that way. I need to do some research.

You Never Even Called Me by My Name was written by John Prine and Steve Goodman. John is my favorite songwriter of all time. One of my life's regrets is not seeing John live. I wrote a tribute song to him when he passed and I play it out all the time.

Classic tune! I remember seeing a band play that song in a bar quite a few years ago and they did an awesome job. The lead guitarist and vocalist in that band joined the Tonebenders a short time after I saw them and the rest is history. We never did the song and I am not sure why.

Music of all genres is no longer that of our Grandpappy's. I have not heard her song(s) and probably won't on purpose. I just do not listen to those type stations.

I have sitting thinking about Kirby and thinking about his dying from a heart attack. I know how close I was to the same fate in November of 2022. If I have ignored the signs no doubt I would not be here today. I had 95% blockage in the widow make artery and you don't get many second chances when th...

RIP Kirby. I grew up in the same town, Danville, Virginia and went to school with him. He was one grade ahead of me and had a little brother one grade below me. I played sandlot football with him and others on occasion. His father owned the AM Soul radio station in town. We all knew him as Kirby McM...

Awesome! I must have played a ton of Breedlove guitars through the holidays. They are that prevalent in the stores when it is not the lead up to Christmas. I was trying to find just the right one made out of Myrtle wood but I never found the "one". I did play a used Spruce top at GC in Oca...

I listen to the Outlaw Country channel a lot on Sirius. I remember back in the 70's when Willie, Waylon and others released the Outlaw record. I played that thing to death but I was more a a rock guy. They bridged the gap with the rockers back then.
