Re: Febreze

I remember driving thru the nightmare that is Rt 17 towards the Paramus mall yo check out a craigslist guitar. I seem to remember it was a hollow body Epiphone (Broadway) at a reasonable price. I was stoked. As soon as I walked into the guy's house I knew what was coming, the stench of his freshly ...

Re: Am I an a**hole here - Tirerack take a full day to check payment!

I get mine from Amazon now. Better selection, same prices, couple days delivery. Put 'em on and balance them myself. I use to work in a tire store in my 20's so I know what's what.

I would not want to do a re-fret job on this one.

Re: anyone tried this type of fret dressing file?

I have this file block (or rather I made my own) in several different radius's. It is made to bevel the fret ends after you nip off the excess after a fret job. You use this to take down quickly a large amount of material and beveling at a 30 degree angle. I would not use it for fret sprout unless i...

  Well, if I could actually play like that then maybe...but i'm not even in the same neighborhood of shredding. And he makes it looks so effortless too. BTW, the past couple years I've been teasing myself and toying with the idea of moving back up to the midwest. However, I just got my hom...

Re: Rondo future

I set a one year reminder on my Gmail calendar to remind @tobijohn about buying Rondo. It's in October.... Buying Agile, not Rondo and it looks like I'll need a few more months. First, I've got to get rid of my old bucket of bolts 1996 LT4 coupe and pick up one of the latest generation mid-engine C...

So here it is almost a year after I started the post and I have to report that Tim did wind me two p90 pairs that were hum-sized. One chrome and one black plastic. They both sound phenomenal! Thanks Tim!

I have the red one and the blue 2800 uniform neck profile and don't notice any difference compared to my two 3000m model necks.

Re: How many AL's have you had?

Only 2. Both 3000m natural binding. One is Teaburst, the other is a Cherry burst. Got them around 2008. Both are ten plus pounds. I don't gig so sitting with that weight is fine.

I'm here. Haven't checked in all but maybe five times since the move. Been busy with house renos. Lucky to noodle an hour at night three times a week. Fingertips getting soft. Have not bought anything in two years now. Oh yeah...forgot. Got a puppy back in late november. She is a Mountain Cur mix. B...

Re: Any LP-type guitar owners completely abandon humbuckers?

I have a tele I built with TV Jones Setzer Sigs in them and this guitar is the least played one out of 14 that I have. To me, it's just a weak sounding humbucker. Does anyone know if there is a P90 that fits a filtertron route? I just love the P90 tone.

Can't seem to find...

Haven't really spent much time here on the new AGF site, but I kinda miss the old structure that the home page had all the most recent posts from any topic. Can this still be accomplished? Seems like the "water cooler" is the closest thing.

Yup...today's the day for me too. I have been officially released from the MOFO jail. I feel like Andy on the Shawshank movie when he emerges from the sewer pipe in the rain! Didn't bother to reclaim all my photos or posts. I'll just start over at some point. Just did not have the free time for it.
