Re: THE ROMAN SPRING of toomanycats (UPDATE, THE END, APRIL 2024)
In my experience, collaboration takes work from all and can still have difficulty getting things done. When ideologies pop into that equation, it can ruin shared efforts. I don't care who anyone's favorite superhero is, and I don't support anyone pushing their superheroes on others. It is sad when t...

Sure. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just that it would be the exception to the rule. Most of us just don't have that kind of money to throw away.

Re: Building a controller with Arduino
Somehow I missed this whole thread. It's a great idea, glad to see it. I once made an Arduino based pedal using bluetooth to scroll documents up/down for following sheet music, tab, and to work as a teleprompter.

Re: Would you need more info?
I like a 1 page resume, it gets straight to the point. It looks good to me, and it leaves a lot to talk about if it gets you interviews. If it fails to get interviews, try to ask why. In my experience, resumes only give interviewers starting points for discussion. The important factors come out when...

That was great! It made me really miss living in Colorado, and the drive portion was hilarious. Thanks for sharing.

NGD: Agile Harm 1
2 Harms.jpg I have to admit a little insanity here. I bought this Harm (on the left) because I love the one on the right. The one on the right was used and already modded (electronics and pickups changed), I added the Les Trem II. And to be clear, this now makes 3 Harms as I have one with toaster p...

NGD: Agile Argus 625
This arrived from its overseas trip without a box! The seller wrapped the case in a single layer of the tiny bubblewrap, a sheet of black garbage can liner, and postal paper. That's it. I almost freaked out seeing that was the case, but I got over it. The middle latch was stuck shut, making it hard ...

Re: Incoming Agiles
Agiles From UK.jpg Just a quick note because I've only had about an hour with them so far. The delivery gave me a heart stress test. They were packed in thin bubble wrap then paper inside their cases. No boxes at all. To ship overseas, by air though, but still! One of the cases' middle latch didn't...

Re: Odd Rondo interaction
To finish this thread with better news... The Hawk landed today (maple FB, not rosewood). I guess the fretboards will let me tell the difference between this and my other stop tail Hawk at a glance. More importantly, it seems perfect except a few slightly sharp fret ends. Incredible deal for $160. I...

Re: Incoming Agiles
I either have them or have no real interest in the ones I don't. Understatement? :) I don't think I've ever seen a lefty Argus on the used market. I also wonder how all those Agiles ended up in the UK .. I looked over the initial offerings from this seller unusually carefully because of the oversea...

Re: Tech Question for Amp Gurus
Well my stated goal is to sound more artificial as my natural talents make my natural sound pretty lame. I guess I'm waiting for an AI neural plugin so my muscle memory can be replaced/downloaded on the fly. Monday SRV plugin, Tuesday Wes Montgomery, Wednesday Barney Kessel, Thursday Steve Marriot,...

Re: Incoming Agiles
Nice score! Can't go wrong with a Harm1. is that a Jazzmaster type baritone? I agree completely. Love my Harms! The Argus is a Jazzmaster type, but not a baritone. I think most of the Arguses (Argusii?) were baritones, but this one is 25.5" scale. I found the original listing Kurt had for it s...

Re: Tech Question for Amp Gurus
I'm not close to being a guru, just used a lot of gear over decades, so take with a lump of salt... You're not likely going to get a very good line level match between a line out and an effects return, but you're also not going to blow anything up. If you can control the level of the line out from t...

Incoming Agiles
Today I saw a new Reverb seller with a gaggle of cool lefties all at once. Several really caught my eye, but 2 more than the others, and his prices were reasonable. The only problem is he's across the Atlantic ocean from me, and, well, trans-atlantic shipping costs are horrible these days. I shot hi...

Re: Odd Rondo interaction
What this experience tells me is Kurt is still having a little bit of trouble keeping his listings ummm, up-to-date and accurate. It IS hard to get good help. ;) Exactly. And it is really hard running a small business - you have to wear many hats concurrently and can't always deal with all the deta...

Re: Odd Rondo interaction
It's getting weirder. Even though Kurt canceled my Rondo site order of the maple fretboard Hawk, he just now messaged me on Reverb that they only have that guitar with a maple fretboard. Seriously! I told him I'd take either, but it felt like he was messing with me after last week's maple board canc...

Saturday I was cruising Reverb and saw this P90 equipped SX Hawk discounted. I already have this exact model, but thought for $159.95, I could grab another one to mod. Dad joke problem
It's good because I could point to it and say that's "Jean Luc Pickguard".
It's bad because it might be the worst guitar dad joke ever.
