Re: Pretty Neat: The Mooer GTRS Modeling Guitar

I admire all you guys that can use all this technology effectively but it is just too much to think about for me. I just got myself a digital mixer this year and even that is one that works very much like an analog mixer. It was sort of blowing my mind the first few minutes with it but then it sank...

Re: Whoa !! A '59 in Burgundy Mist ?

My first ride was a 77 impala wagon with the backwards facing third row seat and 350/4bbl. It was as much a camper as it was a car. That's when cars were made for living ! I had a 1970 Mustang with a 351 high output 'Cleveland' engine. Not so much a camper but boy could she lay down some rubber ! L...

Re: New GC direction

we have the "Platinum Room" for the high end stuff, and they have everything in there pad locked so even if you can touch it, you can't pick up or play it. Some really nice things, too, like a couple PRS Private stocks ($13k+ for a dragon's breath one, but they've had it for years), and a...

Re: bromo brand acoustic guitars at rondo music

So they start with a panoramic scene of the Rocky Mountains and then proceed to tell us the guitars are named after a volcano in Indonesia ??? Bromo Guitars draws their inspiration from the renowned Bromo volcano located in Indonesia. Nestled in the heart of East Java, a region blessed with abundant...

Hmm...looks and sounds great...but that gold hardware kills it for me once again...why not a brushed nickel version instead. Is Gold hardware really that popular ? I don't get it

Re: Whoa ! 1958 Trans Red Les Paul All Original !

I wonder what they used for that finish since the red didn't fade like on the bursts, and it doesn't look like aged nitro either. Unless the thing was kept in storage out of sunlight for all these years, perhaps it wasn't nitro. Yeah...I wondered about that because there wasn't a hint of 'checking'...

Re: Nafiri Music in Jakarta

I follow them on the Instagrams. Check out Soloking guitars. They sell them and they (guitars) always look bangin....(as the kids would say) Nafiri is also on reverb. Steep shipping though... Yes, the SoloKings are also available here in Thailand, as are some of the Tokai, but mainly the China made...

Re: New Pedal Board ..er I mean Pedal Shelf

I have a pedal shelf, too. It's easier to fiddle with when it's waist-high. :) Quilter Superblock USA (Fender sounds), delay and tuner. Those go into the DAW via the XLR or a speaker cab with the 1/4" cable (besides being DAW-ready, the Superblock has 25 watts weaseled in there somehow). KIMG2...

Re: New Pedal Board ..er I mean Pedal Shelf

Ok final setup. Used a hole saw bit to cannibalize my Ikea birch shelf..boy those bits get hot even going thru an inch if wood. The place smells like I've had the fireplace going ..in Thailand ha ha. So far so good, everything works, the Tremolo, Delay, and looper thru the effects loop and the Boss ...

Re: New Pedal Board ..er I mean Pedal Shelf

Well..decided the built in overdrive was simply too inflexible as it was only on or off and there was a considerable volume jump when engaged which meant I had to quickly lower or raise the guitar volume when engaging or cutting the drive... Enter the venerable BOSS Blues Driver BD-2. The great iron...

Re: Robben Ford / Pedal Show w/Dumble

Robben Ford is a very intimidating guitarist. He's certainly amongst the most amazing, recherché players. When I hear him I'm incapable of simple enjoyment. I want to grasp what he's doing, to understand it and incorporate it into my own musical vocabulary. That has proven impossible. It's not just...

Re: Robben Ford / Pedal Show w/Dumble

I like Robben, but I really do NOT like that amp. My favorite Robben stuff has all been another amp or something acoustic. I have no opinion of the amp itself, only having heard it thru YouTube, really can't tell much difference from many other quality amps...but the story line of the amp, its gene...
