Thinking of getting a gas scooter (50-160cc) to tool around my backroads to scope photo sites.
Anybody here into that?
What I know: there is Chinese, then Taiwanese, then the big three(?) Honda Suzuki, Piaggio, and sellers want too much, and dealers suck!
I can wrench.
Poodles getting a (gas) scooter?

Sounds like a plan. I am a big fan of two wheels.

Be aware! 50cc's is NOT large enough unless you only have roads with a 30mph speedlimit
I would recommend 100cc minimum engine size!
If I were in the market today , I'd probably get a https://suzukicycles.com/scooter/2022/burgman-200
But then Here I could use it 12 months per year.

Oh yeah, the Burgman line is something!
A good friend is a Suzuki dealer in France, and said the larger Burgman does very well on highway!
Agreed on 125 cc or so needed - I want it for backroads, but with 45 mph sections in between, and also with the benefit of larger wheels, maybe fuel injection, etc.
A new Honda (125 Trail or Grom?) would be terrific, but I think I would have a hard time dealing with a dealership. All the BS fees and them mostly tooled to deal with young, often immature customers. Maybe I should step in and explain I am an old fart, not ready for the song and dance?
That reminds me of "Jason", dude I was trying to buy a bike from years ago. He wanted an X price because he owned that much on it. I had to explain that it is not the way it works!
