A fun song (warts and all) from a short-handed practice tonight. It's been awhile since I slipped on a slide.

I have been questioning "Black Betty's" its political correctness. Just because I am doing so tells me that it's probably in bad taste. We'll either ditch it or sing something like "My friend, Betty..." Your input is appreciated.

We were just kids when Ram Jam did the song, but it was a hit in our house specifically because my Mom (Betty) hated it. It is a fun tune, but certainly polarizing. I try (and sometimes fail) to stay away from polarizing songs because there are fun pieces that don't offend anyone too.

I think its acceptable to sing...but Im not sure if all black gals would.
I'd hate to offend someone, ...especially if she's hot :-)

I would see this old man everywhere when I lived in Oakland. This took place right near my apt. He's pretty damn nice in real life. He's a fixture.
