I've been gone a while my health took a sudden drastic down hill turn hospitals, operations, ICU stay. I've been home a few days and feeling ok I have another operation to go through as soon as they schedule it. I almost made my exit from this world so I'm extremely pleased to be posting here again.
The doctors had told me I had maybe 6 months left but I spoke with one of the surgeons this morning he said since they've got my situation under control he didn't see any reason I can't live for several more years. Good News!! Anyway that's enough of the "I almost kicked off story" and on to guitars.
Since I'm stuck here at home for awhile can't really go any where I bought a used SX tele to mod while I wait on this next slicing me open event. I bought a used SD Quarter Pounder for the bridge and I had a SD SH-1N humbucker so I ordered a pickguard cut out for a humbucker so the SH-1n is going in the neck. I also wired up to new CTS pots CLR 3-way switch and bought a set of All Parts locking tuners I've never used that brand before but they were cheap and had good reviews so we'll see.
Anyway it's great to be home and getting back to normal.
Hey Guys I'm back

Welcome back Redman. I saw a sign today that read, "Everything can kill you, pick something fun."
I bet the 1/4 pounder and SH-1N sound great. My 2 SX tele's are great players.
I look forward to seeing some pics, and hearing about the sounds.
Crank it up, and enjoy.

I´m glad about your recovery. Hoping the next "slicing event" can fix things for good; keep it high.redman wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 5:03 pm I've been gone a while my health took a sudden drastic down hill turn hospitals, operations, ICU stay. Get back to your guitars, and don´t forget to share some pics of that Tele once you finish working on it.
Long live Randy!

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

Thanks for making my own problems seem inconsequential. Putting things is their proper perspective is a good thing.
I look forward to reading about your SX Tele mods. A Duncan Quarter Pounder in the bridge and a SH-1N in the neck will definitely make a Tele with attitude.
